  1. I have used both Red October and SPB-tours during my two visits to St Peterburg. With Red October there were six of us.Good tour and guide. No problems. Our second tour consisted of five family members. After much research I elected to go with SPB-tours.It was a good choice.I sent my first e-mail to SPS-tours on a Saturday and received a reply from Viktoria on Sunday. It continued that way during our planning.Would sent a question to Viktoria and within hours would receive a reply.Viktoria was such a joy to work.Without a doubt I would use SPB-Tours again.Wouldn't look any further.Outstanding guide who communicated well with all ages. The ages of our family were 17 to 79 years old

  2. You can't go wrong with Barcelona Day Tours. The wife and myself used them a couple years ago and enjoyed a very good tour.Paco was our driver/guide.He met us at the airport and we did a four hour tour of Barcelona.Next day he picked us at the Hotel and we did the Freixenet winery and Montserrat.A very enjoyable day.Would use them and Paco if we visit Barcelona again.

  3. Raga59---My wife and I used Daniel of Daniel Taxis for a 6-7 hour tour of Madeira.Very pleased. Not only an outstanding guide but a true gentleman from the old school. Not once did he fail to open the door for my wife.It was a race but he always beat me.Just a joy to be with.Do a search of this forum for Daniel Taxis and you will find nothing but good recommendations for him

You will enjoy Maderia and its people

  4. Baba---Last November when we visited Madeira we booked a 7 hour tour with Daniel of Daniel Madeira Taxis.I can't say enough good things about Daniel.Excellent driver, very knowledgeable and proud of the island. We spent a very enjoyable day with him.One thing that stands out with me is that every time we stopped he would get first and open the door for my DW.Never once did he fail to.A fine gentleman--- with Daniel I wouldn't worry about narrow roads and steep drop offs

    You will enjoy Maderia

  5. Just back from our T/A on the Regatta. While in Bermuda we used Duke Soares as our driver/guide.Don't believe we could have better---outstanding and with a excellent knowledge of both Bermuda and early American history.Really a joy to be with.We used him for 3 hours on the first day in port and 4 hours the second day.It was just my wife and myself. He has had some problems with his e-mail address so he had to change it.In case any body has been trying to reach him his new e-mail address is dukesoares@gmail.com.

  6. We also used SPB-Tours for St.Pete this past July. Can't say enough good things about Viktoria and her team.A first class operation.Four years ago we did a ship sponsored tour of Berlin. It was really a long day as the train took 4 plus hours each way and we probably spent only 3-4 hours in Berlin.A private tour can probably can do it in less traveling time but Berlin has so much history and places to see I don't think you can do it justice in a few hours.Would love to spend 3-4 days there. In the 1959-1960 time frame I was a USAF pilot and did fly in and out of West Berlin several times but that was a long time ago and a different era

  7. First I would like thank Lair Bear for putting the walking tour on Tallin on this thread.Tallin is such a beautiful place. We are planning on following that walking tour this July.

Unberwoub--- We did Tallin in 2003 on our own and spent about 6-8 hours just walking around the town.At that time I was 73 years old and the wife was 70.Had no problems at all.Really enjoyed it.Like all "old Folks " we do have some health issues but everything work out fine.

We planning to return to Tallin this July with our son and his family and doing the Tallin walking tour just to see what we miss the first time.We don't anticipate any issues. If you still have concerns I don't think you can go wrong with the down hill approach.

Anyway, enjoy Tallin.Beautiful city and wonderful people
