We were offered the owners suite on the same ship a few years ago, I cannot remember the exact amount but it was quite a bit. We did not feel it was worth the cost but I did ask if they had any other up grade options, we went from a balcony to a grand suite for about $300 (4 of us in the room) and we absolutely loved the cabin. Was absolutely worth the money, the room was amazing.

I have always had written permission from my daughter's biological father when cruising with her under 18, but we were never asked for it. I always wanted to be better safe than sorry.

My husband always carry his pocket knife, on all of our carnival cruises it has never been a problem being in our suitcase that is checked. Last cruise on RC, they held his bag and he had to go to the naughty room to get it, they held his knife until disembarkation where he was able to pick it up. We sail next month on carnival out of PE, not sure what to do this time.

I just reserved a mini van with Alamo for $32.56 including fees and taxes for the day with a complimentary shuttle from POM to the car rental office. After much research, this was the best option that we found for our group of 5. I also spoke with luggage lounge, and that also seems like a good option. I was told it would be $10 per suit case, $5 per carry on and they will pick up the luggage at the port, for an extra $20 they will deliver it to the airport for your flight also. This does not include transportation for people but they can offer a quote for that also. Hope this helps.

We have the same issues when we return also. Our flight is out of MIA at 8:30 pm, we are also looking at ideas for the day. I think we are going to rent a car for the day, some of the rental companies have shuttles from POM to airport to pick up a car, still doing some research, but looks like our best option. Good luck!!

Has anyone used Uber or lyft from airport to hotel and then from hotel to cruise port in Miami. Looking for recommendations as to which service was better. Seems to be the least expensive form of transportation. We are a group of 5 with 4 suitcases. Thanks in advance.

This will be our first cruise on Royal, wondering what the dress code is on formal night, would we be ok in a semi formal wear? Like a nice sin dress for myself and pants with a button down shirt for the boys?

Just heard from Celebrity that both my brother and his wife were killed in the accident.

Looking forward to following your review, we sail on her 2/11!

We did a cruise last year that stopped in Nassau, mainly because we wanted to go to Half Moon Cay, did not care for it. We did feel a little uncomfortable, nothing bad happened, and we would not go again. It is a shame that crime is escalating!

This year we are flying in two days before we sail, being January in Wisconsin, did not want to take any chances, altho there is always the chance that it could happen! keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well! Only two more weeks!!

I consider our selves old school, as we have always used the envelopes for tipping cash, I was going to leave the auto tips on this cruise, but think we will continue our tradition, I wan to know that the money goes to and stays with the staff that it is meant for. Being that I work in a tavern and depend on tips, I fully understand how important this money is to these wonderful human beings, and want to make sure they know they are greatly appreciated!
-
I wonder the same thing about the auto tips, how do we know that the staff is actually getting the full amount or if the correct staff is getting it. We only eat in the MDR once per cruise, YTD, so they must do something with our auto tips when there is no wait staff to assign them to?

We are flying in on the 24th, sailing on the 26th, we are staying at a hotel in rocky point, will we have traffic issues on the 26th with the festival, or is this party any where near rocky point? We are not renting a car, so no driving for us, probably a good thing if it will be busy that weekend.

Thank you for the info, I am looking forward to seeing some shows, and don't want to miss the bridge! Hope you had a great cruise!
-
Glad you made it home safe and sound, crazy weather! If you have time, I would like to know what shows they had and if you remember about what time you sailed under the bridge, we leave on the 26th!

wrigley80, Thanks for taking the time to write your reviews, I truly enjoy them! We sail on the Legend next month, and I am getting very anxious! Can't wait to see the rest!

Here is the answer that I received from asking John Heald
Here is the answer
Willie Lee will be the CD, you will enjoy him very much Stephanie, cheers
We sail on January 26th

I wouldn't recommend doing either honestly. With the limited time you will have at the park, you will probably feel cheated out of the wonderful experience that it is. Kennedy Space Center is much closer to port and may be a better option.

We also had this change to our January Legend cruise, too many ships in port that day. I must admit we like the change, have been to Belize before and were not impressed, looking forward to Costa Maya.

It was sold out on the cruise we booked back in August, then showed up available in September, so keep checking!

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has used Medrite Covid Testing in Sunny Isles. We are flying in two days before our cruise and this is close to our hotel. I did not see any CVS locations offering tests near there. Thank you
