    On the Gem last week we got free imessage !!! It was great - didn't use up any of the free wifi and we could use imessage to shore and ship - no idea how we got it and didn't ask just in case it was a mistake !!!! But all 8 of us in our group could use it.

     

     

    Yep same here... I was so nice being able to find others in our group around the ship

    using iMessage

    That's why I never pay in full until the deadline... I would cancel unless the cancellation fee is outrageous... which I can't see being more than $800 [emoji23]. I'm assuming you'd still be making out on the deal... good luck!

    Hi mike! I was looking forward to reading about what others thought of our cruise... and we saw you at the show and I sit here hysterical laughing thinking about you shouting out poo poo to the crowd [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. Makes me wonder who else was truly hypnotized... we had a great time ourselves... and I'm itching to plan another [emoji568]

    Booking through NCL - OBC (what can and can't you use it for?)

    Anyone know if the obc from ncl MasterCard is refundable or non?thx!

     

     

    I don't know if it's the same, but we booked this "wave" promo through Expedia... had to pay with any MC and found out once on board that it was a REFUNDABLE OBC. We would up not even touching that portion and used our non refundable obc up instead and were given cash for the refundable obc the morning of disembarkment. You can go to guest services for it or wait for a check from NCL.

    Thank you so much for the dailies, pictures and all the details! We are going in a month so I'm making notes:)

     

    We have $50 excursion OBCs and would like to rent a clam shell on GSC. Did you use your cruise card for renting the clam shells? I'd love to use at least part of OBCs for this but I'm not sure if I have to book them on the ship or I can do it on the beach? Thanks!

    We are going on Gem at the end of May. Where do you go for lunch on the embarkation day Is there anything open besides the buffet? Just trying to avoid the madness :)

     

     

    Magenta dining room is open for lunch. We did this last time on the gem and it was perfect!

    Good to hear! We sailed once on the gem 2 years ago and it was definitely one of our best cruises mainly bc of the crew! We're sailing again on it next month. Can't wait!

     

    Thanks for the [emoji485] recommendation. Sounds like it will be my go to at dinner [emoji16]

     

    Glad to hear the food was good! We thought so too 2 years ago! Did you eat in any of the specialty restaurants?

    Parking Manhattan terminal

    I used the parking garage at 601 West 57th Street. It's actually the garage for a large high-rise on the NW corner of 57th and 11th Ave. You enter just off of 11th Ave.

     

    Thank you! This looks to be the closest one and one of the more inexpensive ones! Perfect!

    I completed a 7 day cruise on NCL BREAKAWAY March 19-26. I used PARK JOCKEY. Initially I booked at the Silver Towers garage on 42nd Street for $140.00 for the week. After learning about 42nd Street being closed for the NYC half marathon on March 19, I cancelled and then booked on 57th street for $175.00.

     

    Booking through Park Jockey was easy. I was able to cancel my 42nd Street reservation via email, and received my refund on my credit card a few days later.

     

    When I arrived at the 57th street garage, the attendant took my voucher, redeemed it, and gave me a small card that fit in my wallet. Dropping off and picking up my car only took less than 10 minutes each time.

     

     

    I see 2 57th st garages. Was it the 601 or 625 one?

    Gem specialty dining

    We are booked on the Gem in a suite. Today is our 100 day mark. When I tried to make my reservations this morning all that came up was the Main Dining Rooms and Cagney's and Le Bistro.

     

    Obviously there must be some kind of glitch in the system as I should be among the first to book restaurants.

     

    I'll try calling later and see what they say.

     

     

    I too only see those same options. From 90 day mark... and I'm down to 79 now. Still no other options... I called NCL last week and they couldn't give me an answer lol. "Just keep checking back" I only need to make 1 reservation and can't seem to make that happen [emoji849]
