A family suite was suggested for us. We are 5 adults. DH and I, one daughter and her DH and another DD. I think I remember the agent quoting around $10,000. For much less (between 7 and 8K) I could book a VS with a BB next door where balconies can be opened up. I thought it was a bit high...so we passed on it. I'm not sure if that's the price on all the ships. I think the only way to find out is to ask a rep or Princess itself. They don't show prices for them on any on-line sites that I've seen.

What an awsome thread....and what AWSOME people here!
I'm definitely part of this group. I'm 61 and DH is 62. We're going on our 13th cruise on the NCL Jewel in October. I'm still trying to convince DH that cruising is a wonderful way to travel and vacation. Don't get me wrong...he enjoys it while we are on the ship, but he would never plan or suggest a cruise......that is until we did Disney in July with the kids and grandkids. When you realise that it takes a 20+ min bus ride just to get to your stop...and then another 10 minutes to get to your room....a cruise looks pretty darn good!
It looks like this group has some wonderful stories and experiences to share. Count me in as a frequent visitor. Enjoy your weekend everyone. Back later!

I worry about weight gain BEFORE the cruise. At least a month before we sail...I diet. I usually try to take off 5-7 lbs....and then arrange my wardrobe accordingly....as most of you do too. Skinny clothes for the first half...fat clothes for the second half. Seems to work out ok for us.

We were on the Caribbean Princess last March and the practice of "writing in" hot food for breakfast was halted. We were asked NOT to write i because room service had been instructed to ignore it...except of course for the suites.
