If you put a card on file during online check in they put a hold of $100 per person. Do it at the terminal and it's $10. Any amount in cash is fine, including $0.
Why is it different in the terminal? Not heard of this before.

Well, I guess the port people knew what to say after all....
Exactly. The port people are not the problem. Carnival is telling them to say 1:30.

You can apply gift cards at check in.
-
Yes, just load your gift cards when you check in at the terminal.

I am thinking of booking a B2B cruise in may. Are there any discounts when booking a B2B?
How does it work? Do we have to get off the ship and then back on for the second cruise?
Just curious. Trying to decide if I want to turn a 5 day cruise into a 9 day cruise/
No discount as it is two separate cruises. At the end of the first cruise you will meet at Guest Services and when everyone else is off you will be escorted to Customs and back to the ship. You will then have the ship to yourselves for about 30 - 60 minutes before the new guests board.

On the Breeze 2 weeks ago it was 1 invitation with both names and the cabin number on it.

I agree, with the others, arrive later (after 1:30). The lines will be shorter and since Galveston now has your Sail and Sign Cards on the ship, you will be able to go straight to the ship and to your room.

When you get through Customs if you have liquor they will try to send you to a booth to pay the tax. We just keep going.

Incorrect, Long Beach does take cash unless it is late in the day, Depending on the agents work schedule they have a cut off time for accepting cash at their station.
This is the same process in Galveston. Cash is accepted until late in the day. If the computers are down, the check in agents go into a manual procedure and all onboard accounts, must be set up onboard if they were not set up online.

Following! We get on when you get back!

Same issues. Won't let me log in, error messages, etc...

Pricey! Sounds like the package would be worth it, if I had some OJ, a soda, and a few smoothies per day.

Does anyone know the approximate cost of a non-alcoholic daiquiri/smoothie and sodas? Trying to decide on the Refreshment drink package.

The Royal Caribbean deck plans don't show cabin 6443, but another source of cruise deck plans shows cabins 6443 through 6449 located just forward of cabin 6451 on deck 6. Take a look at the location of cabins 7441 through 7447 on deck 7 of the Liberty of the Seas deck plans. That's where I am seeing the location of cabins 6443 through 6449 one deck below on deck 6 on other cruise deck plans.
Thank you! I found the website! :)

We recently booked an Inside Guarantee on the Liberty for a cruise in July. We got our cabin assignment yesterday (6443). The problem is, I don't see this cabin anywhere on the ship. Not on the deck plans and when you type it in it says cabin does not exist. Should I be concerned?

All are good ships. If you have kids, Breeze would be the best option with the ropes course and the waterpark. I prefer 7 day cruises so I would pick between Freedom and Breeze. I really like the Lanai on the Breeze but also like the Promenade on the Freedom. Can't go wrong with either.

When you arrive at the terminal, ask for the priority line to go through security. You will then head up the escalator (there is no VIP escalator anymore). Upstairs head to the left to VIP check in. Ask a staff member if you can't find it. You will not to go the VIP lounge to check in. You will check in at a designated counter for VIP. If boarding hasn't started you go to the lounge to wait. If boarding has started you go straight to the ship.

It is still being done on the Vista and Splendor. All other ships, you get the card at check-in.

What about the last week of March?

I actually found an itinerary on the Breeze out of Galveston in September 2017. I was excited and ready to book until I read about the Galveston fog. In looking into the planning more carefully sailing from Galveston seems like a hassle. Most hotels in Galveston require a 2 night stay and were pretty pricy. Also transport via shared or private shuttle from HOU Airport to Galveston was about $170.00RT for my kids and I. On top of that there is the fog issue. Looks like I need to weigh my options more carefully.
Fog is not an issue in Galveston in September. You have a risk for hurricanes in September, but you would have that risk sailing out of Miami as well.

You will be fine with the birth certificate and photo ID. The birth certificate must be issued by a government authority and not from the hospital.
-
We are taking our kids on their first cruise at the end of February. We have never purchased the kids a passport so are birth certificates ok for them? Kids are 13 & 12. Any other form of ID needed since they don't have a photo ID?
Thanks
Nothing else is needed. Just the Birth Certificates issued by a Government authority, cannot be from the hospital. Only ages 16 and up need a photo ID.

Does anyone have the latest email from the Valor or Freedom about the delay?
-
MY GRANDSON HELPED ME WITH MOBILE ALERTS I CANNOT SEE VERY WELL ON MY MOBILE SCREEN BUT ITS FINE.
I WOULD LIKE TO GET ON TONIGHT BUT NOW LOOKS LIKE THE FOG IS GETTING WORSE.
I WILL CONTINUE WAITING. I AM WRITING THIS AT 4:34PM CST

Keep reading the mobile alerts. The latest one said after 4:30PM CST so it should be coming pretty soon. I know it is frustrating, but you will have a blast when you get onboard!
