The Star just started cruising again, anyone know who the Concierge is and how long they'll be on board? (we sail in June)

    Happy Cruising!

It was Nashira Forbes. She was horrible. She never came to get us on embarkation day. We would still be waiting if we didn’t decide to just walk on ourselves. Also was rude to my daughter about seats in the theater! Worst concierge I have ever experienced!!

The situation at Barcelona is confused at the moment, and if they are making everyone test at the port then it won’t be chargeable. The new addition to the detail on the website states that the test is free of local authorities require them.

Donyou know for sure that they tested everyone on the Star, by the way. I have seen a few conflicting claims about what happened there, but nothing definite.

I read on a certain social media site that everyone was tested at the pier even though thry had their 72 hour covid test results

As I had it explained to me on the phone by NCL:

You need to get your own rapid-antigen/LFT or PCR test with certificate done within 72 hours of sailing, before you arrive to the port. But then they'll test you again at the port at no cost to you. Both tests are needed to proceed.

It seems very complicated and over the top.

I thought if you were unable to test before you could have it done at the embarkation port.

  4. Hello as I was checking in for our April 13 cruise out of Trieste, the health and safety tab said in addition to being fully vaccinated we had to agree to take an antigen test at the embarkation port which would be fully paid by the cruise line. I had to also click a link to register with their testing partner Eurofins. I believe NCL will do an antigen test to fly back to the US at no cost. If for some reason, you need a PCR test then you are on your own.

  5. Just tried to check-in for our 4/13 cruise out of Trieste.  When I got to the health and safety page, it states that in order to embark the ship we must be fully vaccinated and also consent to receiving a COVID Antigen test which will be administered and paid for by the cruise line.  I thought this process had changed as of 3/1/22 and that we needed to be tested prior to arriving at the port.  Anyone else notice that?

    TIA

  6. We were on the Jade in November 2017. We were offered to pay an extra $10 for a lobster tail in Le Bistro. Not sure if that is still the case.

Just off the Epic in May and they also had lobster tails for an additional $10 plus gratuity at Le Bistro!

  7. I am curious about Miami VIP security line as well. We are on the Sun in April. Last year, we were in the Haven on the Gem out of NY. We had a separate security line to the right of the regular security line. When we got to the front of VIP line, we were allowed to go through scanners before others who had been waiting in the regular line.
