  1. :cool:Yep!! Guess where all the smokers will go?? Right where they are allowed to smoke!! Then all the haters will complain about that also!!

That is exactly what they will complain about next. I for one plan on sitting in the casino and smoking. If someone comes next to me and fake hacks or waves hand around, I will blow more smoke. I have always been a considerate smoker, but now if I am in a smoking section I will smoke and not feel bad about it. If anyone has a problem with that they can go sit on their balcony and enjoy the fresh sea air. Can't wait to see what their next gripe after smoking will be.

  2. Is there anything good about the Glory. I have been reading all the reviews and there is so much negative feedback I am starting to get a little nervous that I booked her. We are leaving Nov 1. Was very excited and now not so sure. I am not new to carnival. I have sailed the pride a couple times, the destiny, and the dream. So really just wondering if it's really that bad.

  3. I am also surprising my kids with a cruise this year. We are leaving on Dec 29th. They have no idea. They are 15 and 17 and have been on 2 before but this is the first surprise. My daughter(19) is not going, she went on one to Bermuda in Oct.

Right now I plan on wrapping clues in different boxes, but really like the puzzle idea and also the balloon idea.

As far as not giving as a gift a family vacation, i figure I spend alot of money for things they have no interest in in a few weeks after christmas. They really dont ask for much as they already have xbox, phones, ipads. If santa was still in charge, i might think different, but at their ages it works for us.

As far as missing school, our district allows 10 days. My kids dont miss much so i dont care if they miss for vacation. I dont like to vacation in the summer so this works for us.

I hope your daughter is surprised and have a great trip!

  4. We were on the cruise before you! Got off Pride on Nov. 17th.

How late were you coming in? We were supposed to dock at 9 and got in a few minutes late. Were docked by 9:30 but we were not called off until almost 11 a.m. And we were Faster to the Fun and were the first to get off after the peoples who carried off their luggage.

Also, if you don't mind another question- what time were you able to board on the 17th after we got off? We boarded on the 10th and were seated in the terminal and checked in at 11:30 but were not called to board until almost one p.m. They told us the ship was late coming in that day too but we were in the line to park at 9:30 and it was docked and the gangway was there so it couldn't have been too late. It was supposed to dock at 9 a.m.

How did fttf work when checking in. Is it a seperate line and if so is it clearly marked? Also in what area did you wait to board the ship and also what area did you wait to disembark?

  5. I have been on the explorer of the seas, the carnival destiny, the carnical dream and the carnival pride. I will be on the pride again over new years. For me she was my favorite. Best getting on and off experience ever. The Pride shows a little wear but I still liked her better than all the others. I am a Spirit Class fan. I also thought she had the best crew.
