HI! We are cruising with our best friends next month, and I couldn't find the link info online...I called Carnival directly, and they were able to look it up for me and confirm that out bookings are linked. So I would just call Carnival. :) Hope this helps!

If I try were me, I would cut out the drinks package...that is over $400 towards what you are needing. We don't drink, so that one would be my choice. Have fun, enjoy the spa and fabulous dinners! $400 is a big chunk of change!

Someone said in a thread here from several months ago that the smaller Reflections dining room was for assigned dining while they were in Europe earlier in the year. Is this true, or did they reverse it after coming stateside from Europe?

You pay when you exit the garage at the end of the cruise. Yes, they take credit cards.
Thank you, Aquahound! :)

Hi! Did a search but couldn't find an answer...we haven't parked at the port in a long time and usually use off site, but will be on Carnival Horizon from Miami, and decided to park on site after reading opinions from other CCers.
Dumb question: with Carnival, do you pay upon arrival, or after the cruise when you pick up your car? And do they take cash only or do they also accept debit/credit cards?
Thank you!

Hi everyone! We have a cruise coming up, and have never cruised from Miami. Usually, we do a park and cruise or we book with an offsite parking.
We found a Quality Inn that we made a reservation for which offers parking and shuttle for around $200 total after tax and all, but after reading reviews, we may cancel that and go another route.
I keep reading caution about parking in Miami. I'm thinking we may need to just pay the extra to park at the port. If we do that, we need to find a cheaper hotel within an hour of Miami. We thought about Ft Lauderdale or something like that as we are coming down 95 from the north to port. We aren't too picky, we just want a clean room and one with free breakfast...like a La Quinta. Bonus points if it is under $100. Anybody have suggestions? Thank you!

Would love to see the Fun Times from Horizon's 6 day sailings if anyone's has them and is willing to post them here. Thank you!

Please don't criticize yourself! YOu are on vacation and there to have a GREAT time!!! Who give a crap what people say! If anyone comments they are the ones that have issues! Just go and enjoy your time and eat and drink all you want!!! That's what vacation is about! Making memories!
I did, and we had a blast! Thank so so much for your kind words!

Hi all! I have a chance to move from deck 6 to deck 7 on our upcoming Horizon cruise. Problem is, it is only about 4-5 rooms down from the thrill theatre...is this a noisy area? Can you hear sounds from the theatre in those cabins? I like the balcony better in the higher decks as it is further from the wraparound promenade, but am concerned about the noise.

I know this is an inactive thread, but was wondering how y'all's tours went with Marks?

Hi! I haven't been to Jamaica in 6 years and when I was there before, it was Falmouth. We are wanting to do Mystic Mountain and a good family friendly beach for part of the day. Can someone recommend a good tour company? We will dock in Ocho Rios.
TIA

Sakari and I headed over to the group, where I would stand and watch Kendra try to distract Kam and then take off running in the sand (have you ever tried to run in the sand? It's not easy) and then she'd bounce back and forth behind the palm trees (there wasn't many), a building or two, and sprint to the finish line of the hut where everyone was waiting.
Score!! She made it all in one piece, with all of her equipment, and without Kam noticing.
We arrived and ask which group it was. The instructor said that they had decided to combine the advanced with intermediate since we didn't have a huge group of people on the island today.
A lady in the group said "this is the advanced group" and looked at me and looked at Sakari. I was like "great, we're in the right group" and then added "the instructor just said it's advanced AND intermediate actually". She actually argued with me..."no, it's advanced" and then pointed to another hut and said "there's beginners". Um ok, I'm not sure what makes you think we are beginners...I'm standing here with my OWN equipment, which obviously means I'm not a beginner. She still kept telling me the same thing and at that point I have a blank stare with I'm sure a not so nice look on my face. Finally I had to put it to rest because she would not shut up about it and once again ask the instructor and he confirmed. Yep, the smirk on my face staring at her said it all...she stopped talking about it.
I forgot to mention, we were the ONLY one's on the island that day too! Yippee!
He didn't say anything to me about Sakari and I was relieved. I did ask him if it was ok for her to wear her mermaid outfit/mono fin snorkeling instead of fins. He said "if that's what she's comfortable in, then absolutely!" She was relieved as well. She really can swim better in it than fins.
After giving everyone instructions on what we were going to do, what we might see, how we were going to wear our equipment (the life jackets around our waist) we were headed to the entrance to go in.
The water was ROUGH today. So, they told us instead of wearing a snorkel jacket, we would have to wear the regular life vest. Honestly, I prefer that anyhow. I hate the snorkeling jackets because they ride up in places they shouldn't, go up over your face half the time and so on. They also told everyone that after we got out there, if we didn't want to wear the life jacket, we could remove it and tie it to our wrist, but it had to remain on us. Man, I really wished that Sakari didn't hear that because it would be an issue the entire time.
Sakari was getting ready and I was busy watching a lady get in the water and screaming...like seriously screaming, because the waves was pushing her, she steps on a rock, she couldn't get her fins on...it was just complaint after complaint and I kept wondering what she was doing in THIS group. Guess who this lady was.......I'm sure you have figured out it's "Ms Advanced"
Hi! I had a question: with this excursion, do they take each group (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) out separately, or all out at once? We have an 18 month old and are trying to figure out if we could take turns snorkeling so we both could do it and take turns watching the baby. TIA!
Ps: I LOVE your reviews!

Hi! I'm about to try to reserve parking online for Fulton Garage in NOLA. Is airportparkingreservations dot com a legit site to book Parking through? Thank you!

Taking a boat out to their Reef (2nd largest in the world) is not to be missed by snorkelers. (y)
This sounds like something we would really enjoy. Thank you! Do you recommend booking through the ship or is there a third party you could recommend?
-
Hi! We are looking into things to do in Belize. Are there any reputable 3rd party tour operators we can check out? We have already seen the ruins, and have no desire to return this time. My mom isn't keen on the the cave tubing, so that is out also.
We love the beach, so that would be our first choice. Any ideas?
-
Carnival needs to get on board with this idea, especially with the digital tech taking over on the ships. We bought the package on Celebrity too, loved it! Also, even Walt Disney World has the all inclusive photo package for only 170 (pre purchased), which we get every time. In a week, we go home with over 1000 digital high def photos that we can do what we want with.
I would most definitely buy for $170 to get all my photos! 😍

I haWe really love assigned dining, so we hadn't considered it. I heard a rumor that the waiters don't sing and dance anymore throughout the week I feel you do anytime dining...is that true?
-
We have always done late dining, but it seems like a lot of the activities that I'm seeing happen at like 8:30. Can anyone confirm with recent experiences? I would love to see a recent funtimes from the Dream (Coz, Isla Routan, Belize) too so I can plan accordingly. ;) We usually don't do early dining due to the fact we don't like to feel rushed to get to dinner after ports, but I may swap to early if it means getting to see more onboard. What are yall's thoughts? Anybody have a recent Fun Times?
A couple other questions:
Do the waiters still sing and dance? We love that!
Is the CLUE game fun?

I saved one but have no idea how to post a picture
I would be glad to email the copy if you can send me your email address
Hi! I'm not the OP but I would love a copy! Mybearsbaby@gmail.com

When are you sailing? I'm booked 7 cabins down on the May 5th sailing
November 11th. I would love to hear how your cabin was and if there was noise. Have a great trip!
I stayed in cabin 10238 on the Vista and it was the best location I have ever had on a cruise ship. There was no noise and it was so convenient to go out to the pool deck or buffet area. We never heard anything. I am not sure how it compares to the Horizon though.Thank you!!
-
So dumb question, but how far away from the IMAX is "far enough" so it isn't noisy? I would love for people who have stayed maybe 8 cabins down to weigh in with how the noise was. We aren't looking into booking Horizon and there are some cabins maybe 6-8 down from the IMAX.

Here is a recent thread on this.... Should give you some insight on what to expect
Thank you! I tried the search function, but it must hate me, lol. I will check this thread out. Thanks again!

Y'all are great! Thank you all for the replies! Looks like my lo will be too short for the skyride this time, but at least he can do the slides and such. Thanks again!
Age, height and weight limit question about water slides

You got this! Keep on taking those steps, and you will achieve your goals! This original post was made a little over a year and a half ago, and after we got back from that cruise, I started taking steps to get where I need to be too. I'm thankful to report that I have now lost 110 lbs!
On the cruise I was asking about, I totally rocked my "fat lady swim dress" and my son and I had a blast making memories on the slide! I wouldn't take anything for those fun times. I'm so glad I decided to go ahead no matter what anyone else thinks, and not let my worries hold me back. Thank you so much for your encouraging words, and happy cruising!
