We fly to Barbados on Friday to join the Azura. The weather forecast is for rain. Can anyone please tell me if once one leaves the plane do you still have to walk some way over the tarmac to board the coaches?

My wife and I booked this tour before we set sail and we were very disappointed as we expected a panoramic tour as the heading suggests. We spent the first 2½ hours of the 3½ hour tour visiting city museums and a visit to a beach bar, which was just around the corner from the ship. After this we spent the rest of the time touring the outskirts of Alicante and a neighbouring town and returning to the ship. However we did spend about 5 minutes on the coast road between the two towns. We thought we were on the wrong coach because this was definitely not a panoramic tour. The tour should have been called ‘Tour of City Museums’. As a panoramic tour this was a waste of time and money.

However we would add that all the other P & O tours we went on were excellent.

My wife and I were on this cruise as well and we think the lifts were a problem especially for the disabled with wheel chairs. It was quite common for them to wait for up to half an hour to get a lift. The lifts when they came were smaller than on other P & O ships and at busy times were very often full when they arrived. I think there should have been a separate lift for wheel chair users.

Apart from the lifts the ship was wonderful and we will be going on her again.

I’m on the next cruise on Britannia and I’m looking to pre-book the Limelight Club. I can see who’s on each night and also the sample menus. Can anyone please tell me about times? What time do you eat and what time does the show start and finish? If it’s a black tie night does that apply here?

I'm looking at booking a holiday on the Aurora in a Balcony Cabin. Please can anyone tell me if there is a sofa in a Balcony Cabin? I know there is in a Deluxe Balcony Cabin. The P & O web site shows a picture of a 2 seater sofa but the description does not mention it as it does on the Deluxe Balcony Cabin.

We have cruised on many other P & O ships but this would be our first time on the Aurora.

Shuttle buses take you from the ship into the port/town and back again.

We are on the Boudicca next month, first time with FO. Do we have to pre-book our excursions beforehand? We have sailed with P&O many times and they offer the facility to book on board as well as beforehand. They provide talks and films, on board, on the trips available in the following few days. At some ports where the pier is not within walking distance of the port/resort they provide free shuttle buses, every 15 to 20 minutes, that run all day. Does FO offer this service?
