On our February cruise, I fell on the gangway (wet from previous rain showers) while leaving the ship (flat on my back). Security was right there and he and an attendant both helped me up; I stood for a moment to make sure everything was in one piece and said "I think I'm ok"; Security asked for my cabin number 3 times; since I felt ok (mostly stunned) we went ahead on our tour and I ASSUMED (silly me) that someone would check in to see how I was. I didn't hear anything that day, waited through next day and still nothing. Since I was starting to get a little stiff and sore, then decided to go to Guest Services IN CASE I got worse. GS asked if I had filled out a form, I said no, that I ASSUMED it had been reported since Security requested my cabin number; GS informed me that that request was for the log, nothing more. I completed the incident form and Security promptly arrived to talk with me, then sent someone to cabin to photograph the shoes I was wearing at the time. Again ASSUMED I would hear from them after they investigated. Waited until the next afternoon (day before leaving the ship), went back to GS and asked for a copy of the report; they called Security who stated they would leave copy in my cabin. I ASSUMED it would be a summary of investigation, but all I received was a copy of the incident form I had completed. I was fortunate that my stiff/sore back healed in about a week. I had no medical expenses or lost time, but I did expect some sort of inquiry/concern about my health. I included incident in my after cruise survey, still nothing. Lessons learned: if I think there could be a problem, file report asap and don't ASSUME anything.

Forgive me if these questions have been answered (tried to search through the pages).
We just got off the Enchanted Princess; everything transferred from old app to new app and worked just fine for husband and myself.
Now starting to work on next cruise on Grand (174 days). In the old app, I was able to add traveling companions (they are gold) and make dining reservations for the four of us early (since we were platinum, now elite).
Questions:
1. I can't find where to add traveling companions--is this still possible in new app?
2. I can't seem to make dining reservations, even for just DH and I (says "Can't load the content"). Am I outside a time limit?
Appreciate any suggestions. I have tried logging out and back in (as others have noted, my status is incorrect and stateroom number does not show).
TIA

I always tip housekeeping in hotels. Is this expected in London, and if so, how do I accomplish without cash?

I just submitted request for January 2024 cruise this week Tuesday and credit showed on Wednesday. However, while I always receive an email that the request has been received I never (ever)receive one saying credit has been applied.

Hello--so much good information here. We are planning our first TA on Princess, October 2023. My question is about evening dress. On non-formal nights, do passengers tend to dress more or less casual, more or less dressed up? TIA for your comments.

Hello! I've read all 14 pages of this thread and haven't found an answer to my question. I've downloaded the single Medallion app, entered all required pics/docs, everything is green on OceanReady, medallions are ordered. But in upper left hand corner of OceanReady screen by my profile picture and name, it says "Off-Ship" and "Profile Incomplete". I click the menu bubble and I see OceanProfile and Profile Incomplete. I click on Profile and get to My Account, which leads me to My Profile (username, password, PIN). When I try to enter the required info, set password and security question, I get "bookingnumber not entered". What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for the info, DiTom.

Thank you, Bruin Steve. Super information!

Thank you, pbenjamin. Can you comment on approximate travel time SNA/port versus LAX/port versus LGB/port?

I'm driving myself crazy comparing airport options for cruise out of San Pedro, so would appreciate help of those familiar with LAX, LGB and SNA. We'll be flying in one day pre-cruise (Friday, probably late morning/early afternoon), staying at Crowne Plaza in San Pedro. Will flyout on Saturday, after disembarking from cruise. It seems there is lots of discussion favoring LGB over LAX, but I don't see a lot about SNA. I'm interested in travel times to/from port, transportation (if there are any differences), is there something about SNA that people don't like, etc. Thanks for any help.

Will it be waiting in the cabin when I get there? Thanks.

Does anyone know cost of shuttle or taxi to Mendenhall? Also, time required to get there?

Thank you all for the helpful information--looks like I won't be taking my tropical-colored summer tops!🏖 That is exactly what I wanted to know. Summer in Missouri (or the Caribbean) does not equal summer in Alaska. [emoji274]

Thank you, plenty of time for me to decide and keep researching. But if you see someone in white capris, it's probably me![emoji6]

Thanks for addressing/ understanding my question. Yes, I've read about layering, etc. for outdoors--I'm wondering more about indoors. There seems to be debate about whether they are more casual--can't see how it could be MORE casual than the Caribbean we just returned from. [emoji33]

First time to Alaska, booked on Ruby Princess out of Seattle on June 26. It's summer, right? So I would normally wear white or black capris, dressy sandals, summery tops. Is this appropriate in Alaska, or should I plan on darker dress slacks? Thanks for the help.

This is exactly our plan, except we are cruising with Princess.
