Thanks everyone! Had not thought of the YouTupe! These ports in Japan are all new to us (we’ve been to Tokyo) and this seems so fun!

I have a Quantum 15 day cruise from Seattle to Tokyo on hold. It has a great price and a nice itinerary. But we’ve never been on any RCL cruise. We’ve been on about 50 cruises, mostly long cruises like Transatlantic, Panama, South America and one Transpacific. Mostly sailed with Disney with a few NCI and a few Princess. We don’t use the casinos. Will we like the Quantum? Will the main dinning room be “good” enough? How is the entertainment? Are there any balcony areas that we should avoid or try to get?

Hi! We haven’t docked in Livorno before. How can we get to Lucca using the train? Also, what is the best things to see there? We have been to Florence, Piza, Cinque Terre and want to see something different! Thanks for your help!

Many thanks to Waquoit, Petoonya, and MechE31 for sharing your information on your experience regarding the credit card charge back. I called AMEX back today and this time it looks like I got the right action from them on the NCL cruise charge I made on the AMEX card. Can not thank you enough for your feedback and help!!!!

I called AMEX in April and they told me that the time period to cancel the charge by NCL (or pull back the NCL charge and issue a credit on the card account) had passed their time rules. I paid in full in December 2019 for a May 2020 cruise.

Never mind on my question - I went back to look at the online form and it says "this form can only be used if you are requesting a refund for all individuals on a reservation". Just got concern when I read from some of you that you were getting numerous emails from NCL after submitting the form. Must be something wrong with their system in sending these multiple confirmation emails out.

I only got one email sent confirming my request for refund. Are we suppose be submitting a request for refund for each passenger on the reservation? For example I have 4 people on my reservation that all parties were charge to my credit card. So should I be submitting a refund request using each individual's name? We are all in one cabin.

The web link does not seem to come up using Google Chrome as your web browser but using Microsoft Windows Explorer or Microsoft Edge browser - the form does come up. Go Figure (also Apple Safari browser works if you are using Apple products)

We also booked directly with El Pedral and loved it. We paid a lot less than the ship offering this same excursion. There were only 6 people in our little bus and had a great guide and nice driver. Saw lots of penguins, the lighthouse, toured the house, and had a huge wonderful lunch!

Thanks for all the helpful info! I am a sort of newbie on princess and there are many catagory choices. We have sailed 20+ times on DCL (mostly in Europe) and we want to go new places now!

How do you know if the cat BD cabins have bigger rooms? They are only available aft on the Baja deck that I am looking at and they say 231 sq. ft...

We have always traveled as a party of 4 so we would get two rooms. Having 3 people for a longer cruise (14 days) is making this hard to decide! Since the balconies are having a sale and the minis are not on sale, we will book the premium balcony with an upper bunk. We do like to sit on the verandah so hopefully the "premium" price will help us with the small cabin!

My husband, 20 year old daughter, and I are considering booking a cruise on the Crown. I'm looking at the Premium Balcony cabins because they are $1600 cheaper than a mini. What would be better on the Premium Balcony - a rollaway or an upper bunk bed? I like the idea of a rollaway or will we be too tight...?

Yes the cruise line will let us disembark that early as long as we tell them the night before. Thanks for your suggestion to contact the taxi company. Have you used them before? I know they won't be sitting at the port that early!!!

We will be docking in Copenhagen May 29, 2015 at Oceankaj Port. This is an over night port so will be leaving the ship on May 30, 2015. Our flight leaves at 7:50 AM. Any recommendations on who to book for getting the 7 of us, with luggage, to the airport? Also, what time should we schedule the pick up time? Is 5 AM OK?

Thank you both! Last time I ran out of time to see the park and it seems so amazing. Thanks for the pictures. I will take Tram #12 to see the park first and stay closer to the ship afterwards to see the Fortress, etc. There never is enough time!!!

I thought I would have to give up the ski jump area! This is such a short port day. I guess I will have to make a third trip some day!

We will be docking in Oslo on May 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM - 4:15 PM.

We would like to see Frogner Park, Holmenkollenbakken, Akershur Fortress, the Resistance Museum and the Magic Ice Bar, if possible. What is the best way to get to the Park and ski jump?

This will be our second visit to Oslo and can't wait!

What did you do in Aegina after arriving by hydrofoil? Did you rent a car and go around the island or did you just walk around the town?
