  1. Good idea about snapping a picture of the Fun Times.

As for the travel coffee cup, I bring mine with me, and at the end of the day, smells kind of off.

So last time I brought a cheapo bottle brush, and put some dish soap in a small travel shampoo container (well cleaned out, of course), and every night was able to easily clean my travel cup. Squeaky clean!

  2. Love to see picks of HMC!! I booked a early stingray excurtion at HMC just so DH and I will get on the tender early. Love the stingrays in Grand Caymen so want to check this one out also.

I love this thread. I really enjoyed the picture of the 2 loungers on one of the top decks. I can just picture myself sitting there.

I am taking the Stingray Excursion also. I have never snorkeled before, and haven't been swimming in over 40 years, so this should be a hoot, but I don't care, I will have fun anyway.

    Keep the review coming!!

  3. I was armed last cruise with water pills, wore compression socks daily, plus had taken the Black Cherry Concentrate pills before the cruise.

If you register on GNC, sometimes they have sales...I had gotten 3 bottles for around $25.00 with free shipping.

I also bought some Ear Planes (I think it's the name of them) for my flights. My ears used to hurt like MAD, now they don't. Walmart has them cheaper than the drug stores.

Anyone think this might work too??? I just hurt so bad once the swelling starts and the skin is so so taut and tight that I can't even depress the swollen areas with my finger.

    Neverthought

It might just work. I was so desperate a few cruises ago that I filled a couple socks with ice, then tied them on my feet with the robe ties. During the day, they were kept in my cooler with ice in them. The Steward thought it was funny when I told him I would empty the cooler out so he could refill it as my socks were in there.

  5. After reading this thread I did some research on the Black Cherry Concentrate. I have horrible feet, to the point the Dr wants to do surgery. I suffer from plantar fasciitis. In reading, I saw they are a good anti inflammatory. Well low and be hold, they work for my feet!! It's only been a few days and I can tell a HUGE difference. I'm taking 2 pills twice a day for now until I build it up in my system. My feet aren't 100%, but I say a good 70% difference. I no longer crawl to the bathroom first thing in the am, I just hobble a little. Today I walked all day at the Flower Show, and to and from the train, and here I am not wanting to cry.

THANK YOU! To whoever on this thread suggested these for swelling and making me look more into it. (I do also suffer from swelling on cruises and hope this helps on my 12 day coming up!)

I know EXACTLY how you felt at the Flower Show. Before I tried the Cherry Concentrate, I had to be pushed off the ship in a wheelchair..the worst it had ever been.

I started taking them 2 weeks prior to my last cruise, and I walked down town in Key West with no problems. Like you, I stopped, and marveled, and almost broke into tears, I was so relieved. I have Sciatica, and hip arthritis, and didn't notice that, hurting, either.:eek:

I also wore compression socks on my flight, and took water pills like candy, just in case.

I had registered on GNC, and and had received a sale for 3 items for $25.00, and free shipping. I had 3 more bottles delivered to me.

I am so HAPPY for you!!!:D:D:D

  6. I went to my Dr today for a routine checkup. I took the bottle with me to find out if after a prolonged use any interaction with my medications I am on.

He said he had heard about the good affects of them, and I was the first person met who took them. He wrote down all the info on where to buy them, how much they cost, etc. Then asked me how well they work for me. Of course, I told him.

By the way, here is the link to read the info, plus reviews.

Of course, fill in the spaces...lol.

  7. If they enjoy cruising and want to see what goes on behind the scenes they might.

A great memory for me, I enjoyed it a lot. While we were with the Chef, there were some Chocolate covered Strawberries out for us (never had one before in my life), and some cookies. Lord, they were good!!

If you go, ask the Captain if they watch for Pier Runners. He asked what they were, so of course I told him. Also, I asked him where the public coin was, he said they didn't have it. So later I searched and found it, also left him a note saying where it was.

It tickled me, one guy was there on the Bridge, and he picked up a pair of Binoculars, slowly scanned the horizon. I thought it was funny, he felt so important looking.

In the laundry area, they let us use the beach towel folding machine.

  8. I did get mine at GNC....make sure you call ahead...some of the smaller ones don't carry them.

They cost $15.99 for 60 days. I am in Grand Caymen right now, using their free internet. I have even walked down the stairs on the ship.

I hate to admit this, but I had an old moment, and forgot my capsules at home. Tried to find a GNC in Key West, but would have cost a fortune to get here. So I am surviving on Aspirin, water pills, and compression socks. And I STILL can walk aroun the ports, etc.

    They are a blessing.

  9. The Black Cherry Concentrate Capsules WORK!!!!!!

So far, I have flown, walked around the ship, many times.

One thing I think helps is the compression socks.

I am in Key West, at an Internet Cafe, I walked down the looong pier, around town, to here. I have no pain what so ever because of the capsules. I was so relieved I almost cried. So DO get them!!

It helps with Scatica, bad knees, and my bad hip.

  10. I sure will. I am going to buy the cherry capsules today and start taking them early.

All this stuff I am doing, just so I will be able to walk, maybe the power of suggestion will work..lol.

    Melanie

Here goes....I went to two different stores to find them, and succeeded. Took two, and will do so until the bottles is empty. 60 days worth.

  11. One of my friends suggested cherry juice...she got it at GNC.

I looked it up, and they have capsules I am going to buy. I had looked at the reviews, and people have raved about how good they are. Helps with gout, arthritis, sleeping, even sciatica. And, of course, swelling.

Heading there tomorrow. I have sciatica and arthritis, so even if it helps with them, it's well worth it.

  12. I had asked on the Carnival forums about the water, and found the water has less salt then tap water. So that will make it easier for me not having to lug on water.

I had the bright idea of freezing socks in my cooler full of ice, then draping them over my ankles. My Steward wanted to fill the cooler, I told him I had to empty it first. When he said he would do it, I told him my socks were in there. Of course I told him why. We both had a good laugh over that one.

  13. I know this thread is old, but it still has good information.

My last two cruises, I had that problem. The last one was the worst. My feet hurt so bad trying to walk that at the end I had to be pushed off the ship in a wheelchair at the end of the cruise. Of course, after a couple weeks, my feet and ankles are back to normal size.

I already have bought compression socks for my flight and have loose shoes to wear.

I used to 'pooh pooh' bottled water, but will bring some on next time.

I also have any time dining, so I can choose from the buffet want I want instead of the MDR.

Parsley sounds good, plus the diuretic pills.

Thanks for all the good information!!
