Go on line and find taxi or private van transfer companies in Lisbo.  We booked one and they were waiting for us.  I think it was 45E cash.  The drive is not long.  Barring traffic.

The airport is insane to get through. Our female driver got us a cart and boy was it needed for our heavy suitcases. We asked directions to the Delta check in /baggage drop off many times.  Way in the back with just two counters.  The airport is full of shops on the way to your gate another nightmare to navigate.  We had plenty of time for a coffee and pastry while waiting to board our flight.

You can try Top Ten Tours  We are using them in April for transfer from the airport to our hotel and then to the cruise port 3 days later.

Thank you so much for the info!  I will check it out!

Great information from both of these posts.  Unfortunately we are not doing an overnight in Lisbon.
Disembarkation scheduled for 8 am and our delta flight is 11:45.

O will NOT due transfers in this time frame.   Our last experience with ship transfers was a disaster bus sat waiting while passengers had no clue where to bring their luggage and what bus they were on.

NO thanks to 2 taxis we are not that adventurous especially with the short time we have.

Have read before how long it takes in the Lisbon airport.  Keeping fingers crossed and will take a chill pill on the day we get off the ship.😂

Hello, your post appears similar to my upcoming situation and I was hoping you could tell me how things worked out for you.  Our boat arrives in Lisbon at 7 am.  Our international flight for the US departs Lisbon airport at 12:15 pm.  It appears you had a tighter time than this.  How did things work out for you?  What did you end up doing for transfer between the cruise terminal and the airport?

Thank you in advance for you insight!

  3. I am sailing on MSC in October, roundtrip out of Lisbon.  I need to make flight arrangements.  The boat arrives in Lisbon at 7 a.m.  The airport is about 20 minutes from the terminal.  I am looking at a flight that departs at 12:15 pm.  I am assuming I need to be to the airport 3 hours in advance?  Is this flight too early to book?  I am having a horrible time finding information on Lisbon airport timing with a cruise.

  4. FUN PASS! I am sailing on the Splendida to the Mediterranean in October 2020. I can purchase a Fun Pass for the bowling alley, 4-D theater, and the Formula 1 Simulator. Has anyone purchased this for the Splendida? Is it worth it? How are these activities? Something you will only do once or something you would do multiple times? I have an 8-year-old, can she participate in all of them? Also, I had read you only need one pass per room, but based on the purchase setup, it seems to me I need to purchase the pass for both adults in the room (it will not let me select the child). Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  5. We are considering this tour. We are a group of women and a couple of them had some concerns, so maybe you can help me out.

    1. What is the hiking like? i.e. distance, terrain, slope/number of hills. A couple have bad knees so that's why asking.

    2. Did you feel safe or have any safety concerns?

    Thank you for any input!

I can't answer your questions on this, but I just booked this tour for 4/8/2018. We have a 6-year-old daughter, so we were also concerned about the difficulty level for her sake. Andres from Atabey said he would adjust the tour accordingly to accommodate her. I would imagine that if you informed him of your concerns, he would be able to do the same for you.

  6. After 15, you're cut off and you can't even buy one. Once you hit double digits, there are always options such as ordering a stronger drink like a Long Island Iced Tea. If you're a beer drinker, you can stock up on unopened beers by ordering them before you go to bed and having them in your cabin if you have days where you do not reach 15 so that you can then consume those beers on days when you hit your limit or you can take them to HMC if you are visiting there. A small collapsible cooler goes a long way.

This is ingenius! However, don't they usually open the beers before they bring them to you? Also, couldn't you, in theory, bring these unopened beers with you on shore since they don't really check your bags when you exit the boat, just when you return? Thanks!
