My husband proposed on a formal night( when they still had them) after dinner while taking a walk on the upper deck. Very romantic under the stars. Just a cautionary he had the ring in his breast pocket during picutes before dinner and they made me put my hand on his chest for the pic.. he lied and told me it was his camera.. so all was good just a warning.

Glad to hear you had a great cruise. We are on the 3/4/18 sailing and were also slightly concerned by all the negative posts. But generally negative reviews get a lot of attention so I wasnt too bothered... Thanks for posting.

Based on your interests I think the 1st itin will suit you just fine, we did love the snorkeling in Grenada under water sculpture park. I don't think you can go wrong either way

Well, actually, wait staff is a fixed resource. While they can hire as many as they wish, they must provide on-board cabin space. They must provide seats in life rafts. Those and other factors limit the number of staff.

There should be lots of space since they eliminated the asst cabin steward position last yr ;)

Thanks I figured.. had read about it in the fall just seems weird they opened the itin's considering that. Looking forward to the retreat. May consider booking a summit Bermuda (our old standby) when we are on silly in 2 weeks, if those upgrades occur..

I don't want to hijack your thread and am very sorry if they do end up cancelling your cruise @jakob71. Seems like they could have scheduled much more in advance..

On the equinox this past October the pool butlers were bringing around sorbet..it was a nice treat on a hot day:cool:

We got off equinox in oct around 715 doing express walk off grabbed a cab and made our 955am flight with lots of time to spare. None of us had precheck and the tsa lines are a bit slow but still had ample time. Plan on doing the same flight for our March cruise.

Mine always lists the go big,better or best.. may not show which u have selected if u dont have best tho.. its been a while since I chose so I cant comment on that...And the obc is listed seperalty.. yes too cold this week.. still better than nj where we relocated from tho.

The website sucks.. should it be available yes, but it no longer is.. only cleberity given obc is shown.... best thing to look at is the reservation confirmation document.. that should have everything but always check when u get a new copy because obc has disappeared after payments and room changes for us before..

Seems like celebrity is all about building fake hype these days... this is also why I'll wait to book edge until people have actually sailed on it.

Also a warning don't wear a light colored swim suit.. or else it will be stained...black is best.. I didn't have an issue with getting the smell of the sulfur out.

You should be fine.. We arrived a little after 10 and it seemed like the chaos had all ended (not so much for the other ships disembarking, they still had lots of ppl).. was able to get on around 10:45

It just seems wierd that they would allow that from since what I can tell both are the lowest rooms in their respective categories. I would think they would charge more for the inside rooms with all that included..

More to my point it seems like if they extended those privileges to your daughter.. than they would have to extend to anyone staying in one of those rooms regardless of if they were traveling with the adjoining suite.

And perhaps just call it an inside suite...

What was the cost of a taxi from MIA port to MIA airport.

There was 4 0f us and I think it was $27... our uber on the way to port from airport was $19, I think

We are just off equinox and many were concerned bc this was reported on cruise critic a week b4 we left and erroneously stated it would be in effect Nov 1(while we were on board) and wouldn't you know the future cruise consultants knew nothing about it and had to call the office and they knew nothing either.. so I'll take this with a grain of salt until it's in affect.

I would call Celebrity or your TA and inquire. We have booked a suite on the Edge and our daughter is in the adjoining inside room. Our TA has confirmed that she will have suite privileges of luminae, the retreat lounge and sun deck.

It is essentially becoming a two bedroom suite.

Hmmm maybe this is why suite prices have gone up so much, we are now paying for people in inside rooms to get the same benefits

If you are in a suite and order room service after 11pm, will it be your butler who brings it? I worry about ordering room service for the cabin attendants and butlers because I know they work so hard and want them to get some rest. I would hope there is a room service attendant scheduled at night and the room specific folks don't get dragged out s

No, it will not be your butler. I belive they only work until 9... I could be mistaken on the actual time but it's b4 11

Hmm.. in my 6+ may bermuda cruises we have always had good weather. Does it rain sometimes yes but that's life. The worst weather we had there was in June when it was raining and in the 50's. That even beat the hurricane we endured in October while staying for the grand slam of golf a few years back.. That being said we never thought the water in may was cold, but maybe some expect it too be much warmer like the Caribbean.. def use the water taxi and bus system_ super easy and convenient! Also agree to to St George on the 1st day.

This happened to me 3 times for our 10/27 reservation.. twice when we made payments and once when we upgraded the room.. called and they were able to fix right away over the phone.. just make sure u keep you original invoices that show the credit and u should be fine. I will say it is a pain since the phone wait times have been very excessive with the new website but worth the wait to get the obc back.

The only two places you would not be eligible to eat in would be luminae & blu..lots of free options.. mast grill.. aqua spa cafe.. buffet.. and many options for a fee.. sushi on 5, ect.

Hmmm..my guess is it doesn't have as much to do with what younger cruisers spend on board as it has to do with longevity.. myself in my 30s with 20+ cruises under my belt who now only stays in suites and still cruises at least twice a year is a more appealing customer.. I have the possibility (God wiling) of having decades more of cruising.. so financially a great investment..and a 14 day would be too long for me for 1 trip ( I have 4 was vacay each yr) but I do love a 10 or 11 night

Take these perspectives with a grain of salt.. there are always those who bash ppl who bring their children.. ppl who books suites.. people who get something they weren't supposed too.. blah blah the list goes on.. bottom line is your going to have a great vacation.. I have been cruising since I was 13.. and am now in my 30's..I m sure there are many who would say I'm still too young for celebrity..bottom line only you will know what your family needs and will work for them.

In regards to the allergies. I can attest to the attentiveness regarding this.. just make sure they note it on the reservation.

From a quick Google search...found cruise schedules for st thomas. it seems most if not all rccl and celebrity ships dock at crown bay..which was where summit docked while we were onboard 11/2016
