Life is all about choices, during different seasons and situations in life.  I congratulate you all for choosing to enjoy life on a cruise your way, and will not criticize or condemn those who choose to go about it a different way than I do, provided it does infringe on my own enjoyment.  Some cruise more, some cruise less. Some pay more, some pay less.  But the sea calms and feeds all of our souls.  We are all fortunate that we have that in common.

Could you take a picture of the Plunge Pool?  How cold is it?  Is the idea to have a place to cool off after the sauna?

I loved that the Thermal Suite is directly below the Haven on the Getaway.  It was very worth it to me to get the weekly pass since it was just a quick walk down stairs to get there.  My husband and I went every day.

66Olds442 if you, or someone else, could investigate while you are on board, if there will indeed be no pool or hot tubs, I would really appreciate it. My hubby recently had surgery and a hot tub might work for him when we are scheduled.  However, standing under a water feature probably would not.

So  the Joy is scheduled to start sailing again next week, after being refurbished in dry dock.  I'm hoping someone on one of the initial sailings can describe how the new Thermal Suite on the Joy compares to other thermal suites.   In particular, I would like to know if there is a heated pool and hot tubs.  Thank you.

Oh, darn!  I'm disappointed.  The only thing better than enjoying one myself, would have been watching you enjoy yours!  Hope it was great.

Aprille's age will be 62 in 5 days. My husband Marty, will be 65 in October.

 

We had a great time on this cruise. Mom and I don't even get off the ship. Marty gets off at every port and usually snorkels or just walks around the port. He climbed Dunns River Falls this year and I think his age is finally catching up with him. He was whooped and man enough to admit.

 

Loving the review so far, Mom! Keep it comin' and I'll comment along the way.

Love this review!  You are making me smile here in Alabama.  We go on the Getaway in March.  I can't wait to read about the rest of your thoughts on your cruise vacation.

I like your idea, CruiserKim.  I like the idea of unlimited water, juice and my weakness Chai Tea Latte.  I vote for another option also.

Loving this thread for the added info. before our March 8 cruise.  Wish someone would post Freestyle Dailies.  

Thank you so very much.  We are in the planning stage for our cruise right now, while hubby is rehabbing from his knee replacement surgery.  I know it's a busy time of year, but if after Christmas if you could find time to scan and post your dailies, we would be most appreciative!!!!  Have a happy holiday season!
