I don’t think so…unless you want bag tags..

    Thank you.

I usually just get the tags when we drop our luggage at the pier.

I was worried I might have missed some necessary documentation.

Sorry if my original post was misunderstood.

What edocs do you need? And where do you need them?  I thought the express pass was it. Do online check in and get express pass.

I posted this yesterday as a legitimate question but nobody answered. After reading it, maybe it was taken as a snarky comment rather than a genuine question. I would really appreciate an answer. We cruise in 2 days and I am already in FL believing I am prepared. I have my express pass and passport. Is there something else in the edocs that I need to print out?

  3. I am only booking cruises out of Florida right now so I can drive to the port.

I just don’t want to deal with that flight uncertainty stress. It’s a long drive from PA but I am in control. So I have limited my cruise options but feel much more relaxed about my trips.

  4. We sailed the Summit in December at about 1/3 capacity. We had early dining and had a great 2 top against a window. However, they were literally only using 1/2 the MDR on that level. The side in use was packed with tables all inches apart. Some of the larger tables were not full, but the 2 tops were all occupied and extremely close. Meanwhile, the other side was completely unused. I couldn't understand why they didn't spread out to use the entire restaurant which would have allowed for some spacing between diners.

  5. I was also on this cruise and heard the announcement in the theater waiting for the 9:00 performance. Had difficulty understanding it because they didn’t stop the music that was playing there which made it hard to hear. But I was definitely pleased that they gave the notification. I did make some behavior changes the next day as a precaution. Only used stairs instead of elevator and made sure to keep personal spaces separated.

They actually already had some pretty good safeguards in place. Deck chairs were spaced nicely in groups of 2, 3, or 4.

Some seats in the theater had signs to space people out.

The ship was quite empty. The captain kept referring to it as our Luxury Yacht since there were 970ish crew to only 709 passengers. So you never had a problem getting a seat anywhere.

  6. How do you know which terminal your ship is using? I understand Miami is a large port and this is my first time there.

I’m on the Celebrity Summit and don’t see anything on my Express Pass other than Miami.

Will there be signage at the port so we park in the proper/closest garage? And do they direct to luggage drop off area prior to parking?

  7. maybe the issue is simply trying to use the QR code.

As I mentioned, I was able to use my MacBook with no problems and some posters are saying they used iPhones or iPads but used the website rather than scanning the QR.

I will just plan on using the website directly for my January cruise. Neither DH nor I had any difficulty hearing the proctors without headphones. Both proctors did have accents but were clear and easily understood.

  8. I'm currently trying to take the online proctored test on an iPad.

I scanned the QR code and put in my state of residence and clicked start testing.

It went to a blank white screen.

I waited about 5 minutes with nothing happening, then tried refreshing.

Now waiting a good 15 minutes. Is this a normal wait time?

Is it my device and I should try on the phone; or am I missing doing something?

    Any suggestions?

  9. I would advise everyone to order their test kits well before they actually need them. Ours gave a 3 day expected delivery when we ordered. It actually took 10 days. The estimated delivery date kept changing every day that it didn't arrive. It did eventually come but I was glad I ordered weeks ahead of time for our cruise next week.

The only negative is that I ordered a 3 pack (for 2 people) to have an extra test just in case with the hope we could just use it for our Jan cruise if not needed now. But the expiration date makes it unusable by 2 days for our next trip. Don't know if it would have had a later date if I waited an extra week to order.

  10. So, I ordered and received the 3 pack of test kits. I figured 1 each for my husband and myself plus a spare just in case. So do we need to each set up separate accounts and log in individually, or just log in once and do the tests one right after the other with the same proctor?

I agree with the OP that this should not have happened.

However, this is one of the reasons to use a good TA to avoid such situations - while also saving money!

This was my 1st online booking since my longtime online TA (who shall remain nameless) hasn't responded to my multiple emails regarding another booked cruise. I will be searching for a good brick and mortar TA for future bookings and hopefully future savings.

  12. When I have a screen shot of my online booking showing name, CC number,  booking number, cabin number, AI rate, and lists perks, price, deposit and amount due; I would fully expect the email confirmation to show that same information. But that doesn't seem to be something you can count on.  Whatever system they have that is changing things on its own is a major issue. They need to address it.

And when the first phone rep I spoke to quotes me the numbers and says she is fixing it, again I expect what she verbally tells me to show up on the confirmation email.

Obviously I learned my lesson and held the 2nd phone rep on the line until I received and checked the final confirmation.

People just need to know this has been happening and to double check everything in your email confirmation.

  13. this exact thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago.

I found a nice C1 (sunset veranda?) with the AI  available for a good price. I booked it online and took screenshots of the 2 pages of my confirmation showing AI and specifically listing drink pack, wifi, etc along with the cabin number, price, and deposit paid along with amount due. My CC number was also there.

Then the email confirmation shows up and I notice my remaining payment is lower than the original. So I look closer and see the loyalty NRD and 20% discount instead of AI.  So I call, wait on hold, and get someone who also tries to tell me that is what I booked. I said..No I have screenshots that say otherwise.

So she says OK, and I have to read her everything on my screenshot. After which she says Ok again and that she can match what my screenshot says. Well, I would hope so since I had just booked it online an hour ago.

So the next email confirmation comes in. Lo and behold, it is now an AI rate but $300 some dollars higher than my original booking. So I have to call again. This time I made her stay on the phone till I received a revised email confirmation with all details correct.

So this book and switch is definitely happening and I have no idea why.  So examine online confirmations carefully.

  14. I just downloaded the App on my iPad to do online checkin for the first of my 2 upcoming cruises. When I first signed in, both cruises showed up.  I clicked on the first one and completed everything I could including choosing my boarding time.

I then tried to get back to see what information was available for the second cruise but it will only show me the welcome to the 1st cruise. I tried swiping every which way and cannot seem to find a way to see the 2nd cruise even though it did show when I signed in to my account.

I closed the app a couple of times but it always opens up on that 1st cruise homepage now with no obvious way to get to the second.

I’m trying but this technology has me stumped. I know others have multiple cruises they are planning so any help in how to navigate here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Lucky you, usually Celebrity won’t talk to you if you have booked with a TA.

No, sorry. I guess I wasn't clear. My Celebrity calls were regarding the cruise I booked online directly with them on Tuesday. But some issues arose with that requiring phone calls to fix. I wasn't trying to get them to do anything about my other TA booking.

  16. I too have had problems trying to get a response for a similar issue from the same group. I emailed last Friday direct to the contact on my reservation with a question about the change to 60 days for final payment because I received an email from them that my final payment for a cruise next year would be charged to my card on record in a few days. When I hadn't received a response by Tuesday I called. Got the recording that they are overwhelmed with calls and prefer email. Email responses should take something like 3-4 business days. If you prefer to leave a phone message, expect a response in 5-8 business days. And if you dare leave multiple messages, it will delay your response further. What???

So, I was also looking to book a December cruise and just did it with Celebrity online for the first time. That however had it own issues which would be a topic for another thread but took 2 phone calls with fairly long waits to finally get booked correctly.

Still have not received any response to my email sent last Friday to the online TA.  I'm not a needy traveller. Usually have no questions or issues after booking. I really don't even follow looking for price changes and asking for price adjustments. But not being able to get in touch with anyone means I will do no more booking with them in the future. I spent time on hold with Celebrity but eventually was able to talk with real people who were able to address the issues I was having.

For my recent sailings, I have not received a detailed invoice, just a generic confirmation. So I had the same concerns. I found that about 10 days after booking, the always included items showed up in the "Order History" portion of my Cruise Planner. Would never have thought to look for them there!

    Oh, thank you.

I will look at my January booking since that was made months ago and see if the info is there.
