I feel Celebrity is trying to attract a new and younger cruise clientele.

I contacted my travel agent after I saw your post last night. She has informed me that it is exactly as you posted last night. We have the same cabin, same amenities and shipboard credit for same price for 6 more nights. We are excited to see many new ports of call!

Just got off 2 calls to Celeb res agents...first one was very terse but insisted our cruise has no changes...that it will leave on Oct 24, 2016 and that the See and Stay hotel will be added in at a much later date to replace the longer itin listed for the 24th

 

second agent, conferred with her sup and the itinerary director....they advised it is an IT issue...and a hotel will go into that See and Stay space...not a longer cruise and no conflicting itin...

 

they did not say what the ship will be doing in the space between 10/23 and 10/ 27..so for now we are accepting this info...knowing things can always change..this one is a long ways off but at least for now, the booking is good,,,

Agent on line Celebrity web site could not see the 24th sailing ? Said it was probably updated before it was suppose to. It appears to me that everything is moved up by 3 days and we will probably be switched from the 27th to the 24th. Take note of the 24th price where some rooms jumped by $3000

I just went to the Celebrity website and pulled up same info I had before....did not show a revised itin...Are you looking at Celeb US website or something from your TA.? Not sure how we could get diff website info...but seeing how plausible that could be with Celebrity.in its current state of "surprises"

 

if it is changing, we are thinking .the itin you show has too many sea days and is too long a cruise on an older ship...but we have time to figure it out...

Sorry, but we are not interpeting this the way you are...nor did the Celeb rep. That I spoke with....The cruise fare that is lower is for the Infinity cruise (cruise only) on 10/27...

The other earlier date with the higher price reflects a pre cruise See and Stay package and the cruise...so you can either book the cruise only or the see and stay with cruise for a higher pruce and 3 land stay days.

 

Rep did not know anything about adding 3 days for our cruise or advancing the departure date,,,if it does, fine with us as long as it is still ABC...

 

There is however a gap between the 10/23 arrival in FLL and the 10/27 date of our cruise,,,

 

Hope you'll join the roll call...when we switched our date awhile ago, we did...nice folks!

There is "sea and stay" if that is what they call it, that includes a 3 day pre-cruise on Oct 24, but the ship sails on Oct 27

What website are you looking at? Celebrity? I do not see any changes to Oct 27.

It shows the 27th and 24th both which is impossible! Do a search for a new cruise and it will show both for Infinity

The Celebrity Cruise planner I just now spoke with just recently got word of the changes..hot off the press

 

.On her end, she sees no change for the 10/27/16 ABC itin at the moment....the 10/23 or 10/24 13 days listed on the website is the "See and Stay" add on to the 10/27 cruise, for the moment....

 

She saw nothing for 10/23 to 10/27...we are hoping it will be maintenance or a charter or a short cruise so thatv10/27 stays intact...if not we'll look at Azamara..,.

Looking at the web site it appears all the cruises were moved up by 3 days and agent told me they posted the 24th on line too early before they were suppose to! Look at the price for 2 for an extra 3 nights almost $3000 for a c-3

Just switched from the 7th to 27th same itenary ! :D Next they should be changing this to the 24th for departure date adding 3 more days to my cruise :D as a bonus!!! :D

so i just got my new booking for our oct 7 trip on the INFINITY. it is now a 17 day panama canal trip from sf to fll. we have c-2 cabins booked and celebrity honored our origional price including the 123 perks. so if my wife can get 6 more days off i dont think this is too bad of a deal. imho

Looks like it will all come to a head soon..we already switched off 10/7/17, so at this point I am only following along and hoping it works out ok for everyone, one way or another,,,,,,

 

,.also hoping the Oct 27, 2016 itin is not cancelled or varied....it's a great ABC Island itin for those who cannot devote 2 full weeks to the one on Eclipse...

If you look on line right now you will see that the Infinity is sailing October 24, 2016 13 night & October 27th 10 night ! LOL LOL Impossible , my guess the 27th also cancelled to be move up and now the 13 night sailing ....Makes since as the previous cruise returns

Your right about San Fran and Infinity thus impacting it to be back in Florida in time for the October 7th and 17th thus cancelled!

Wonder if the postings over this issue and the overnights are being passed on to Celebrity upper management...the new CEO might be interested to know..yet Celebrity Official is fairly quiet these days!

They are not quiet on face book posting all they do! Go take a look and say something!

Maybe Face book is a good place to post how unhappy you are with things! A lot of people read there and maybe some answers?

Of course the contract favors Celebrity. But I am sure they wish to be seen as a Company that values its clients and wants to keep them. They can only do that by appeasing us and maybe it is too late for that already as some have already switched to other lines and who can blame them.

 

Lets keep the pressure on. We all intended to be on this cruise. Celebrity decided they can make more money by booking a charter ( I am assuming here).

 

It will cost them more in the long run to anger so many loyal clients.

There aren't enough of us here on the boards compared to the thousands to make a difference! IMO they could care less, on to the new charter customers!
