  1. We are booked on the Encore out of NYC 24MAY20 to Bermuda.  I agree this cruise is not going to go not way NYC is going to let that many people in and around the city anytime soon.  Why in the world is NCL waiting to cancel their NYC spring/summer season?  My take is they are hoping people cancel on their own thus only option for them is a Future Cruise Credit.   I can't use FCC and have to wait for NCL to cancel so I can get a full refund.  I understand the situation NCL is in and I am sure they are fearful that they may not get through this and a FCC with be worthless.

  2. I am looking for a reliable transfer company from the Dock Yard to Elbow Beach Resort (roundtrip).  We are a group of 15 and one with very limited mobility.  Anyone have any experience booking private group transfers?  And if so what company did you use.

    Thank you!

  3. "if it's too loud, then you are TOO OLD!"

No, in all seriousness - aren't we ALL there to have a good time, on vacation and enjoy ourselves??? If we are talking LOUD, vulgar, profane music then by all means it shouldn't have to be broadcast for the entire ship to hear. BUT by no means should personal speakers be banned/put on the naughty list.

Should fellow cruisers be considerate??? - OF COURSE, will they ALL be, OF COURSE NOT!

Playing music on a bluetooth speaker on your balcony at a respectable volume should be fine in during the day - playing it at night, especially after dinner should be the biggest No-No. Acting like a fool and dancing like no one is watching on your balcony, sounding like a herd of elephants should also be a No-No.

There is a thing called RESPECT and hate to say it, but there is a decline of it all over and not just while on vacation.

TOO OLD.......never ;p I enjoy my music and I enjoy it loud but I felt certain that others may not like my music selection so headphones it is.
  4. If this was during the day, I probably wouldn't have complained. We often bring a wireless speaker on vacation, though we don't blast it. It is vacation after all and it isn't like you are sailing on Holland America or Cunard. This is a mainline cruise line.
Blasting music with explicit language, singing said lyrics louder and louder while jump around like idiots is not acceptable. I for one don't really care what time this type of behavior occurs. If your music or behavior is disruptive to other guests it is not acceptable period. I am all about having a good time BUT one must consider the impact it may have on others. I did wonder how they would have dealt with me blasting music at 8am while they were sleeping off a hangover?
  5. We just got off the Anthem this morning. Ship was great had a few issues here and there but nothing awful. Well that was until our Bermuda day. Went out on our balcony after we departed Bermuda to enjoy the view and all I could hear was loud music, people singing loudly (and poorly I might add), jumping around, etc. An hour later it was still going strong so I called security. An officer came by and told me "they're just having fun" WHAT?? Really? Another 45mins goes buy and I walked to guest services to voice my displeasure. Guess services acted quickly and they apologized for not taking care of the situation the first time. Thankfully the music stopped and we didn't have an issue the remainder of the cruise. Not in the room anyway. These people thought it appropriate to play there music on their wireless speaker in the elevator! I'm I just getting old?

  6. Not a fan of Nassau and haven't been for years. We just stay on the ship and enjoy the day on board. Several years ago we had a taxi driver drop us off BLOCKS from the port area. It was getting dark and we felt like we might be being set up. It was the last time we did anything in Nassau. Shortly after that trip there were reported rapes and sexual assaults at Señor Frogs. Crime just seems to be getting worse instead of better.

  7. But you will lose any pre-cruise discount they are offering.

Maybe book deluxe + refreshment now and see if they will let you cancel the refreshment on board?

For me I would have to purchase 2 Refresh packages for $191 per package, one for my husband and 1 for my daughter. I'm on a 9 day cruise. That results in $800 ish. I don't understand why they are insisting I buy a package for my daughter, she's completely disabled, all they want to see is her age, she's 30.

  8. I saw a video on youtube of the Music Hall in Anthem and everyone was wearing these light up headphones and dancing. What is that all about? Didn't see a DJ in the room or anything. It seem kind of strange like they were all dancing to different music.

It's called "Silent Disco" and it is AWESOME! Headphones have several channels with different types of music. You choose what you want to listen to. The color on the side of the headphones lets everyone else know what channel you're on. Each channel displays a different color. It's so much fun!
