We have 7012 for the Quest Feb 18 2024 Antarctica cruise.  So you say it is a good room?

We thought it was alright compared to 7117 or 7112.  Have fun.  I've been in a small ship around Cape Horn and it was fantastic.

Just got off the Beyond (Transatlantic Oct. 30 to Nov. 13) and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement.  Without going into too much detail - we had a musty odor in our SkySuite (11209) which I foolishly brushed off as just a "down south smell".  Every time I opened the door I got that odor for a split second. Day by day we got sicker and sicker until Day 10 when I realized what was happening - we were sick due to mold exposure.  Coughing, headaches, sneezing...

I will post a more extensive review on this but I did want to post a warning to anyone boarding this ship.  If your cabin smells at all musty / moldy DO NOT brush it off.  It is not unique to a single cabin as we spoke to many other people experiencing similar symptoms (although not all as bad as ours).  Don't underestimate the damage a musty cabin can do on your health - particularly if you have other conditions like asthma (which my partner has).

I'm also curious as to how many other people onboard experienced a similar issue. Anyone?

However, just wanted to flag this for everyone -  take care.

Thanks for the tip.  I'm seriously allergic to molds and mildews.  My cruise is on the Beyond on January 8th.  Did you notice THAT smell when you first entered the room.  I usually can.  What a shame that happened.

  4. I am so disappointed with Azamara.  They are holding my $7000 as hostage while the sell cabins on a cruise I want to go on.  They told me I cannot reserve a suite on a cruise on June 7th until the process it and it could take 40 days.  And I'd have to pay yet another $7000.  Have they run out of computers?  Totally unacceptable.

We have booked our flights for our Lisbon-Copenhagen cruise on 6/19. So excited! Fingers crossed! 🤞

I'm looking at that cruise too.  And the one from Lisbon to Stockholm on June 7th.  Sadly I don't think I will keep the suite I have paid for for next Sunday out of Miami.  Just too many things that could go wrong.  And not just with Azamara.  Many flights there are being cancelled.  I've had 2 cancelled and rebooked already and its still a week away.  Plus the tests I need to go are now in short supply.  Sucks to be me.

Thanks, and to the others that posted as well 👍 Decided on the Aft P1 but then only one is available and it’s on deck 8 and from looking at cabin reviews, these are prone to being covered in soot! So back to the drawing board..........Called and spoke with Azamara and actually ended up booking a mid ship V3 on deck 6, couldn’t see much difference between this and a V1? Apart from that being on deck 7 they are identical in every way, even the agent said just location and when I pressed about potential noise from deck 5 she said it would be minimal at worst or in all probability not at all, also from experience noise from above is the more problematic, so would rather be on deck 6 than deck 8 where all the “P” category are!!!!

Time will tell, now the countdown until February 2023😄

Whatever you do, stay away from the very back of the ship.  We were in 7117 and the engine noise was intolerable.  Thank goodness they had 7012 open and helped move us in there on day 3 of a 15 day cruise.  Even the guy in the big suite 7119 wanted out.

I also wanted to change a cruise and thought it would be simple however my understanding now of the Cruise with Confidence is that you get a Future Cruise Credit, which can take over a month to process so in the meantime if you want to book another cruise you would need to pay again then you will receive the FCC after (alternatively you take a chance and wait for the FCC to arrive then book)

I ended up cancelling for voucher and repaying as I have my eye on other cruises this year so know I will use the FCC.....I have had a revised invoice showing  amount paid and 100% non-refundable and now waiting to see how long the FCC takes to appear

I will probably do the same thing.  January 20th is the last day we can cancel before we lose our money.  Trouble is some cruise lines are not cancelling their cruises until the day before the cruise.  They are totally disrespecting their passengers at that point.

so you're wanting to move from an N2 on the January 23rd sailing to an N2 on the March 6 sailing?  I guess I'm confused by your post.

Correct.  I'd even pay the extra $200 plus the higher airfare to do it.

The large suites have  been sold out for weeks.  There are still club continents available so your TA should be able to get you moved.  If you’re trying to just upgrade, yes you’ll have to be patient as guests are still booking

I'm already in a N2 on the 23rd.  But Azamara is giving my TA a song and dance.  They want me to pay another $7000 while holding on to my original $7000.  That will never happen.  This isn't the policy that was around when Azamara was owned by RCCL.  Cruise with Confidence isn't what it seems.

Thank you so much for the very helpful posting from onboard!  My husband and I are booked on the Quest January 23, 2022 sailing and are struggling to decide whether to go or cancel.

My wife and I are doing the same thing.  And Azamara are not making things easy.  There is an almost identical cruise on March 6th and they have made it almost impossible to switch to a suite on that cruise.  Why?  I haven't the foggiest but there is tons of suites unsold.  They say the can't process it for 40 days?  Have they lost their computers?   The new owners are falling down on the job.

We are on this cruise and have been told 171 and 180 guests.its definitely quiet. More crew than guests. All well so far. At Key West at the mo. Heard that 2 people couldn't board due to positive tests!

We appreciate your comments here.  I'm on the next cruise on the 23rd and wonder if you will get the experience you paid for and the ports you visit.  I know the food will be great but we expect more than just that.  I've got about a week and a half to decide whether to cancel or not.

  12. Can I ask how many ports did you actually get off?  The reason I like Azamara are the ports they go to and my cruise in 2 weeks have 2 I love.  St John and Virgin Gorda.  But I hear BVI is not letting many people off.  I can't imagine having almost 60 people on board with Covid is going to help any situation.  I wonder if they will cancel the next cruise or two?

We docked there Nov 27th. Walked around and had lunch outdoors and got Cmas gifts , wanted to do the same. Very very few masks being worn then. I always eat lunch outdoors but there are a couple stores I go in and shop at.

So how many passengers and crew are Covid positive today?   Has it got any worse?  I'm looking at moving my Jan.23rd cruise to March 6th.  Almost the same but one island different.  Not that it really matters since you seem to be skipping islands anyways.  Half the suites are still empty.

  14. So now you are going to Key West?  Was that part of the itinerary?  I'm concerned our 11 day 6 port cruise on the 23rd will have 4 of the ports cancelled.  It would be nice if they had a backup.  Still 2 weeks to decide whether to go.  Omicron has got crazy at home.

  15. I'd be interested to know how many passengers there are on the Quest this cruise.  I've been booked for the Jan.23rd cruise to many of the same islands.  I'm looking at the number of empty cabins still left on that cruise and it seems half full.  The last time I talked to Azamara on the phone, they said they had no Covid on the Quest.  Is it really worth it to cruise under these restrictions?
