  1. We are going on Oasis in August, we have 2 rooms.  I purchased the key and 2 soda packages and one refreshment package on black Friday.  I like to print everything out but the refreshment package will not print, despite me being able to see it  along with the other purchases.  2 days ago we added another person to one of our rooms, making it a quad.  Purchased the key and soda package for her as well..  I received an email confirmation of this, but this also does not show anywhere on my app of in the RC website.  I called and after being on hold for 2.5 hours was told there is nothing that can be done and there is no way for me to speak with IT..  I am just afraid that when it comes time to get our paperwork it will not have the additions on it.  Any advise would be appreciated..  Also, is there a way to connect both of our rooms on my royal app?  I dont see any place to do this, and again royal says it cant be done..  The rooms are linked, but not on the app. I am worried that when we go to make reservations I won't be able to do them together.  Thanks for any input,

  2. I have been trying to get my granddaughters FCC applied to a booking I made in April.  There were 5 of us on the booking and all the others

have been applied but they have numerous reasons hers can't be applied.  I have called numerous times and have been told to wait 10 days, then 10 days, then 2 weeks for it to be applied.  I received an email from a "resolution specialist" stating here is your FCC for your use.  Still can't get it applied, they now say it has been used already.  Does anyone have a number or email address of anyone I can contact to get this resolved, and also to express my displeasure of royals handling of this.  I an still hold, going on 4 hours just today.  I appreciate any help.

  3. We were there last Nov. with our granddaughter.  I was amazed at how crowded it was there.  The lines for the slides were huge, but did calm down after an hour or two.  We got up to check on our granddaughter and this woman came over and put our stuff on the ground and tried to take our chairs, saying we didn't need them.  Also, if you do go make sure you bring a credit card as they don't take cash.  Personally I wouldn't do it again.

  4. I have made reservations for shows for our upcoming cruise on Harmony OTS in May, but are there other shows going on in the theater when say, they have an aqua show at night? When the ice show is at night, is there anything else showing that night as well? If so, is there any way to find out what these would be, or is there basically some sort of non reservation show each night? while I have planned a reservation show each night, I don't want to miss every other show if I can schedule some thing around them.

are any of these shown in the afternoon, other than one grease performance. I did speak with customer service but other than the reserved shows they were unable to bive me any other information. Any help would be appreciated.

  5. We took a family cruise, 16 of us, and had a great time. They did match our diamond status and we received quite a few perks from that. The 5% off booking was great, plus we got an additional 5% for my husband being a veteran. I thought there were too many tables and not enough loungers in the shade. Also note that they do not have ANY pool that is zero entry. We had a family member who could not do the ladder into and out of the pools, so she could not use the pool. I booked this cruise for 3 reasons. First, the cost. It is very difficult to stick with royal when booking 3rd and 4th passengers at rates of $900 plus. Second, it went exactly where we wanted to go. Although royal goes to Jamaica, it stops in Falmouth instead of Ocho Rios, and we wanted to do the falls without a 2 1/2 hour drive to get there. Also, it went to Grand Caymen, which many of the royal ships do not go to anymore. All in all, for us, it was a great cruise.

  6. We took a tour with Joyce last Oct. and it was awesome! We were with our son, DIL and 4 year old granddaughter. My son and his wife are foodies and love to sample native foods, not the tourist places. At the end of our tour Joyce took us to her home where we had a home cooked about 5 course family meal. After many visits to St. Maarten, this was definitely a highlight. She works hard to plan a tour that you are totally happy with. She was well worth the money.

  7. We took a private tour with Mark Morris to Dunn's Falls and then river tubing. Some of us had climbed the falls before, the first timers loved it. The surprise was the river tubing. We thought it would be like the lazy river at our water park, but there was just enough rough water and dips to make it interesting and fun for the 8 year old on up to the 70 year old. Despite not getting in to port until after 10 am, we were able to do both tours with some time to spare. It was a great day!

  8. We just went there independently last week. There were 16 of us, so we got 2 cabs 8 people each for $24. We did the swim with the manatees and it was the highlight of our cruise (and we did some really fun things). We did not take a food package. When we got there a guide came up, for us signed in for our manatee experience and then toured us around until it was time for it. Afterwards we had time to look around and buy pictures. They kinda have you on the pics. They wanted $640 for all the pictures. Individually they charged $40 for all the pictures of one person, so basically took the pics of the kids and young adults. All in all it was a great time. There are taxis waiting there to take you back to the ship. Very easy to do on your own. Enjoy

  9. We used Mark Morris and had a wonderful time. We took a private tour with him as we were 16, and went to climb the falls and then river tubing. Both were a lot t of fun. Much better than ship tour.

  10. We took a tour with Native Way Watersports. They were great. We actually booked a private tour as we were 16 people, and they were much more reasonable than any other company, but they also offer the same tour not private. They go to sting ray city, snorkeling and to the starfish site. The staff was extremely helpful and we loved it and would use them again in a heartbeat.

  11. I was also on this cruise with a group of 15 other family members. I am diamond on Royal, so my husband and I were black card members on this cruise. I agree that this ship is beautiful. I don't feel that I got familiar enough with it, maybe because I am so used to Royal's ships. I do agree that the hot tub was not nearly hot enough. I take hotter baths than that! Also, one really big problem is that there is no walk in entry to any of the pools, so if you can not climb a latter to get in and out, you can't use the pool. They have a lot of tables in the shade by the pool, but they could use more loungers there, less tables.

We had no problems with the food both in dining room or buffet. Some hits and misses, as with all cruises. Service in both was fine.

The picture area the last night was chaos to say the least! Don't wait until then to pick up pictures.

We basically took this cruise for 2 reasons--price, and itenarary. Royal has switched Ocho Rios for Falmouth and many of their ships don't go to Grand Caymen. These were 2 musts for us. We climbed the falls then went river tubing through a private tour with Mark, which was fabulous. We took a private boat to sting ray city with Native Way Watersports, which was also fabulous. Both were extremely reasonable.

All in all, there are some differences, as expected. Some good, some not. We have another cruise planned in Feb. on Divina, just my husband and I which is easier, and hope to check out Seaside with the kids and grandchildren.

  12. We used him last October. His employee, whose name I have forgotten, met us (4 adults, 1- 4 y/o) at the pier and took us on an island tour, which was very enjoyable. He then took us to sting ray city, and waited there the entire time and then brought us back to the ship. In all it was about 6.5 hours and they charged $50 per adult and $40 for my granddaughter. Very nice, informative guide. If I remember correctly his email response came up under another name, but am not too sure about that. I would not hesitate to tour with him again. Good luck!

  13. I know this has been posted, but I can"t find it so I would appreciate it if anyone can help me. We are looking to book an oasis class ship and I was interested in a boardwalk balcony where you could see the aqua theater. I also want to be between 2 cabin decks, not above or below bars, dining etc. I appreciate any help. If not specific cabins, how many cabins away from the end would work? Thanks

  14. We just did this on the Navigator. It was extremely crowded, the arm of your chair was up against the chairs next to you, They put 2 rows of tables down the length of the restaurant. The food was ok, either fish or filet. 2 choices for dessert. I had the best dessert of the cruise there though. To say the acting was cheesy is an understatement. I have been to other mystery dinners and thought they were hysterical, which is why we went. Not here. I actually felt it painful to sit through this. Also, they gave no clues as to who did it. We actually left before the big reveal of the culprit! In my opinion, not worth the $150 it cost for 2 people.

  15. I am trying to decide between doing this tour on our own, or taking the ship tour. There is only a difference of $10 between the two, and of course the ship tour includes transportation. Just worried that the ship tour will be way too crowded and we will not have enough time there. Any thoughts are appreciated. BTW this is not the tour that includes all the pools and water slides.
