  1. That makes a lot of sense, which then makes me wonder if apps like Netflix (or other movie/streaming apps) work?

Only 12 days to our next cruise, and I was planning to leave the iPad at home. Would love some intel on this if anyone knows.

    Thanks!

Well first: What? Leave your Ipad at home, nooooo!

Second: I doubt (unless there have been major upgrades) that the dialup speeds of the ships internet would be able to come close to stream video.

It would be nice if it could stream Pandora

  2. Quick note to say you do not have to apologize for expressing your opinion here. That is what these boards are for. You may be in the minority on an issue and it shouldn't matter. OK? Just speak up. A person can have a difference of opinion and express it politely without being confrontational or rude. :)

    .

Well maybe, depends on the topic. Just don't use any negatives and RCCL in the same sentence.

    My name is Dan

  3. I just booked our cabin 2 days ago, and I just noticed the price increased $50pp. I hope I can answer to my question so I can decide if I should switch to the side balconies...

You just booked a aft (back of the ship) balcony? You dawg! Those are the best. Last cruise I had one awesome awesome awesome! It was on Carnival and there were no loungers but still lots of room with a great view.

  4. I'm 52, been solo for the last 4 years. From southern california. Love cruising but soloing is totally different and takes some getting use to. But in time. One of the toughest parts is the price and then there's dinning I usually eat in the buffet have yet to solo to the MDR. Spend a lot of time out buy the pool. I usually get up really early If its a west coast trip (just can't seem to get the east coast time down). But still have fun.

  5. It's so funny how someone asks a question about where they can smoke and all the non smokers have to jump in and tell how they don't like smoking.

The question wasn't "how many people like or dislike smoking"

I smoke and I always get a balcony room so I can go outside on my balcony and have a smoke when I feel like it. If it offends the neighbors "sorry" but smokers have so little rights as it is and very limited places to smoke. There are cruise lines that don't allow smoking on balconies I'd suggest to those that are offended to try one of those lines.

Last cruise I was on the cruise line had just started the no smoking in the sports bar, that bar was empty 90 percent of the cruise. See it seems to me that it's not really the fact that non smokers wanted to use this bar it was the fact that they just didn't want smokers to use it.
