That is good to hear. I really enjoy a good cup of coffee first thing in the morning.
-
My sister was debating whether or not to buy a coffee card. I told her I thought the Royal ships all use fresh brewed coffee but cannot find the reference again.
Would someone mind verifying that this is the case. Thanks.
-
Thank you all, Since two members are driving and two of us fly in, this will allow us to set up a specific time to meet up
that will not have my sister and I standing for hours waiting at the cruise terminal.
-
We recently accepted an upsell from a balcony to a mini suite. That is the good news. With the new cabin our check in time given is 2:45 p.m. Given our early morning flight
we will probably be at the cruise terminal by 11:30. I like to get my bearings and have a bit of lunch prior to the fire drill. Is it possible that we would be allowed to board prior
to 2:45? We would not be going directly to the cabin but just getting used to the ship and having some lunch.

We did get a nice upgrade from a balcony to a mini. This will give us four adults a bit more room which is nice. The only
negative is that this deck does not board until 2:45 and we will be transferred from the airport to the cruise terminal
by 11:30. That is a long time to hang out before boarding and I always look so forward to roaming the ship and having
a leisurely lunch prior to the fire drill.

I received an e-mail today offering an upgrade from a balcony cabin to a mini suite. It specified to respond back by e-mail, if you were interested
I did reply that I would like to accept the offer. For those who have accepted such an offer, do you normally hear back quickly regarding an
assignment to a new cabin?

Oh I sure hope not, I too live in Boise and my sister and I were going to go to DMV on Wednesday.
On a side note, I was in DMV last month (in Boise) to get my new drivers license. The line and wait time were horrendous. Hours long.

I am taking my daughters on the California Coastal cruise that goes to Ensenada. The agent confirmed they could travel with their birth certificate and drivers license
but neither has obtained the enhanced drivers license as yet. Does anyone know if the cruise line requires the enhanced copy yet or will their current drivers license
suffice?
-
I would go with your second choice and then request your first choice when you board. I also want open seating but went with early seating because of a health issue my husband would fall asleep in his soup with late dining.
-
Once again' date=' we had to leave Grand Cayman early as well.
Didnt ruin our cruise by any means but expect this to continue until their drydock.[/quote']
How much earlier did you have to leave?
-
Do you consider the propulsion problem to be an issue?
Not if it doesn't stop me from getting on the ship. Since my husband is undergoing infusion treatment for cancer, a lounge chair and a good book is all I need this trip.
-
I hope the Dream is not having any major issues as I am due to board this coming Sunday.
-
We canceled a trip to Hawaii in September because my husband had been give a diagnosis of Metastatic Melanoma. It had spread pretty much throughout his entire body. He had radiation to the brain and infusion therapy for the rest of the cancer. The radiation knocked him for a loop but slowly he has regained his appetite and stamina to the point the doctor said " go ahead and go". We are no longer doing Hawaii. Too long a trip but will go out of New Orleans for a seven day trip. We leave Friday. It will not be as some of our past cruises, full of excursions and swimming but we are taking a couple of good books and looking forward to sea air, relaxing and some good meals. Hope you too, will find you can still enjoy a cruise even if it is a little subdued. Best of Luck.

11 more day. Shortest wait I have ever had waiting for a cruise.
-
Thank you for the information. We usually book far in advance but with this medical situation we are just at a place that makes travel possible and not knowing what the future holds, wanted to book a trip now rather than later.
-
I booked a last minute cruise for the month of May and in reviewing my booking I note we are wait listed for early dining. My husband is recuperating from Chemo and while he rebuilds his strength he goes to bed rather early and would never stay awake through the late dinner seating. Is this something I could call Customer Service with and request either early or open seating? Or do I have to just hope we will be assigned to an early dinner time?
-
Thanks, Dianef. It has been quite a shock and very sudden. He was dx. with cancer in August. The same type as Jimmy Carter, which is extremely rare. Just finishing radiation on the brain and then starts a new cancer treatment for the rest of his body that has only been available in the last year and show great promise for reducing the tumors and adding years to the life expectancy. We are determined to take a cruise by Spring and with excellent medical care and Daryl's positive attitude, I'm sure will make it. Still waiting to hear to AON but it has been a little less than a month since I submitted everything.
-
Thanks for the well wishes. I have started the paper work with AON who I guess Princess uses. I think they send me a claim form next. Our current goal will be to try and be well enough to do the trip in April.
-
Do to a medical issue with my husband we have had to cancel our September cruise to Hawaii. I have called Princess and went online to start the Princess insurance process. We are Platinum members. I know there will be medical verification needed to support the claim but my question is because my husband is unable to make this trip does that mean my share of the fare is also recovered. I have never had to file a claim, so all new to me.
-
We will be on the cruise with you. Looking forward to it.
-
WE have never had to wait with anytime dining. We tend to eat dinner around 5:00 p.m. at home, so we stick as close to that schedule as possible and we get right in. It frees up the evening for enjoying entertainment.
Just saved $1100 per person on our September Hawaii cruise. Amazing!! We lost $300 OBC and our deposit became non-refundable but we have no plans of cancelling and couldn't pass up the incredible price difference even with the loss of the OBC.
Took advantage of those great prices too. Looking forward to all of those sea days. -
Won't be on the ship for Alaska but will spend 15 wonderful days to Hawaii and back. Cannot wait.
-
We have done both. I think for shorter cruises 7 days or less I prefer traditional seating. We will be on a 16 day cruise in the fall with a lot of sea days and the possibility of ending up at a table where we are not matched well was just a bit more of a risk than I wanted to take. Anytime dining will expose us to a lot of different size groups and just felt like the way to go this time.
A casino question

I am not a big gambler but enjoy playing slots a bit after dinner. I neglected to buy casino credits within 14 days and hate the idea of any gambling going on my
credit card. Is there a way to pay without putting it on my designated credit card. Could I purchase credits using cash or a debit card at Customer Service once
on board?
