Three people In our line vs 75 or more in the others. I'm sold.
NO ONE in the mobile line when we got there. Walked straight to the front.

I have a feeling we're not completely done with this thread. I, for one, will post some random pictures on here as soon as I have a chance.
I also have my Wonderland review. I'll probably post that in a separate thread.

I've never seen a cruise ship move as slowly as we are moving right now. (Video attached.)
8.5 knots, says the TV.
-
Was this taken today??? I thought the ships were meeting at 4:00pm !
Is a ship missing?
-
LOL. They're kinda the same color? Maybe? I rarely drink the large adjunct beers. Guess I'll be sticking with mixed drinks in January
Same color?!?!? No! [emoji12]
I mostly drank gin and tonic. Tried various gins. That was fun. Then wine with dinner. I had three or four beers total. And this was a 13 night cruise!

The appetizers at Solarium Bistro are absolutely delicious! The vegetables are very fresh. It was an enjoyable dinner!

Thanks for posting! Are IPA's more popular in the US? I hope they might add another choice.
They're the most popular craft beer style in the US. But the selection has always been terrible on cruise ships.
-
Damn nothing that exciting. I wish Royal would partner with 12% Imports or Shelton Brothers to bring some real craft beer onto the ships for the pub.
It gets worse. In the Solarium today I asked for a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and they were out. I was asked if I wanted a Strongbow instead.
Do I want a cider instead of a pale ale? Ummm...NO!

Here is the beer menu in Boot and Bonnet. I wouldn't be surprised if it changed when we hit US ports. DFH 90 and Victory Storm King are usually staples.
-
But I just tasted everything and loved seeing how they presented each course. The waiters are very attentive in there as there are not a lot of guests in the restaurant, it's a once in a lifetime thing to try. But I would never try it again.
This will be my fourth time enjoying Wonderland. I very much disagree.

You're the bomb....thanks!
FYI - It's tomorrow night.

Brian - I think you said you were having dinner at Wonderland later in the cruise. If so, any chance you'll do a mini-review on the experience? Still think the original review you did for Oasis was one of the best ever :)
Sure. I will do that.

Oddly when we were onboard in the summer the Dog House had an interesting selection of beers. Sadly I can't remember specifics but definitely not the norm (and I work for a beer company so I do pay attention to these sorts of things).
Yes, the Doghouse does have some alternate beer choices. But not that special.

I did the zipline today.
YOU WILL NOT FIND ME ON THE ABYSS. EVER.
I believe you. And you'll never know. But the Abyss isn't any worse than a slide in a kids playground. Just longer and darker.
-
No goses. No sours. No way.

Is the selection better in the pub?
It is. I had a La Fin Du Monde yesterday. But the list is still largely dominated by lagers. I can take a pic of the list if you're interested (and I remember).

Whiskey selections in drink package? Father in law wants to know

Beer selection at the Wipe out bar
11 lagers
2 non-beers
1 cider
1 brown ale
1 pale ale
Pretty poor selection.

Question at Captains Corner: Why do you use brown eggs instead of white on the ship? Captain Gus' Answer: they are Spanish eggs
"There's also no difference in yolk or taste. Genes determine shell color, Dr. Bui said. White-feathered chickens with white earlobes lay white eggs; red or brown ones with red earlobes lay brown eggs; and the Ameraucana breed, also known as the Eastern egg chicken, lays eggs with blue shells."

That's interesting. Would you say it's less scary than the zip line?! Traveling thorough darkness at unknown speeds on low friction mats, does sound scary (but fun)!
The idea is scarier than the execution. It's fun. I don't find the zip line scary at all and it's probably less scary than the zip line.
As for screaming, sometimes there is screaming, but it's only people playing around. I don't think they're really scared.

Can anyone get pictures of Solarium bistro, where Chefs Table is now being held?
I'll be there tonight for dinner. But I can tell you, it looks just like Oasis.
