we went 2 x a few years ago. headed back in March. I'm anxious as well to see what is going on there. I cant for the life of me remember whether they sent transportation or if we just got a taxi on our own.

we did the Getaway out of Miami last year. Going on the Breakaway in 10 days. If its half as good as the Getaway, we will have a great time. Loved the Getaway...Maybe it was the Mojito bar???

Yep but on another NCL cruise it might be to say the least ordinary, it was when I sailed Jewel. Most food tends to be hit or miss in the quality department.
thanks for reiterating my point. But i'm Sorry you had a bad experience. We ate it twice on that cruise it was that good!

The best Osso Bucco I have ever had ANYWHERE was on the Getaway at La Cucina...Its always hit or miss.. Just enjoy your cruise!!! Ready for mine in 11 days!!

In the same spot where the Mojito bar is on Getaway, you'll find Shakers on the Breakaway. It's more of a "Martini and Champagne" branded place. Very nice. I haven't been on Getaway, but I've had drinks at other mojito bars on other NCL ships. I would not say that I saw anyplace on the Breakaway that had a selection of various mojitos like the mojito bars do. I don't know what would happen if you tried to order one...but they certainly don't feature them.
That's a bummer. got spoiled on those Mojitos. Will make the best of it though!

We just sailed the Getaway May 13. Loved it. Looking at the Getaway next year. Anyone who has sailed both? I absolutely loved the Sugarcane Mojito Bar. Anyone know if they have that same kind of bar on the Breakaway? When perusing the NCL web site, i didn't see anything similar. Am i missing something? Thanks!

It is harder to get in these days because of the dining package which is given away as a promo.
However, they only release a proportion of spaces for booking before the cruise. You should find that you can get reservations on embarkation day.
If you choose not to make those reservations then you may still be able to get in to some places by walking up, but it isn’t guaranteed and can vary from cruise to cruise.

Thanks!

They hold back some times for onboard booking. As soon as you board, head over to the reservations desk or one of the touch screens and get the times you want. Have fun

We booked our cruise almost last minute so of course had basically no selection on the specialty dining. I remember being on the EPIC years ago and we were able to walk in to the specialty restaurants say after 8:00 or so with no wait at all. On the Getaway on the 13th - Do you think we would be able to do this again? Didn't know if the popularity of the specialty restaurants was more now or the same- could we just walk in a little later and sit down? Or are they truly booked til 9:30? Thx!

Considering our first cruise to Bermuda from NYC mid May. Any suggestions as to what the weather will be like on the trip over?

Am considering either a Southern Caribbean or Alaska cruise for anniversary. if southern Car during April, will that time be a spring break time? been a while since we cruised so just curious.
LFK - Is Little French Key still a decent excursion?
