When we did a 15 night RT to Hawaii, we flew from SC to LAX.  Took Super Shuttle to the Hotel Maya in Long Beach. (Now a Hilton property).  No problem with the Shuttle service or hotel.  

I love cove balconies, and with this being a spa cove balcony I personally would take it in a heart beat.  Even without the T-pool I would do it.

I have had the spa package before.  I have never seen anyone in the T-Pool prior to sailaway.  This may have changed.  You will love the pool, heated tile loungers etc.  

You can send an email to the ship ahead of time about the table for one, also go to the dinning room upon embarkation and talk with them also.  I have been successful  before for a table for 2.  

My husband and I did the same cruise in 2013 on,the Splendor and stayed at the Hotel Maya.  Loved the trip.  Hope you and Patti enjoyed it as much as we did.  

I really miss Kim and Brianna, and all the other "old timers", many of whom inspired Patti and me to do our reviews. Thanks for all the shout outs! We will be on the Pride to Bermuda next month, so of course we will be reviewing that one. :D

Did this very cruise on the Magic in 2016. Love everything about the Magic and the cruise. Would sail on the Magic again in a heartbeat.

Not much. A small shopping area. a bar in the sand, a noisy restaurant bar a half block away. Take a taxi or shuttle into town, go to the mall and have a great lunch.

I have been on the Oasis before, but can't remember what was right at the port area where we docked. Most of the times I have been to Cozumel it has been on Carnival and there are many shops nearby.

I will be traveling with my in-laws who are in there middle to upper 70's, trying to plan out our day. My husband and father-in-law are going to the Myan Ruins, so trying to plan something for my mother-in-law.

Loved the Cloud 9 Spa. Have used it on the Dream, Magic and Splendor. Would have either a spa room or buy a pass again in a heartbeat.

Safari is having issues to. Ugh really wanted to book excursions for my DH and father in law.

I bought one two years ago and love it. I used it in Aruba last year. Large in size, good quality and a long chain with a combo lock, so no keys to loose. Only issue I had one night on the Oasis at the hot tub was, I secured it around a chair with my glasses inside. So when it came time to unlock it, it was dark. Made it hard to read the numbers. LOL. I take it everywhere. I think it was well worth the price I paid.

Jamman, did you two like the Delta Comfort section? Hubby & me will be in the row just behind First Class when we fly down to Miami later this year.

I am not Jamman54 by an means, but I have flown Delta Comfort from Charleston, SC to Ft. Lauderdale. Our seats had more leg room, and we had free drinks of choice, this did include alcoholic beverages if you like. I would purchase Delta Comfort again.

I was on the Splendor 01/2013 out of Long Beach to Hawaii. Fantastic cruise and ship. Would cruise again on the Splendor anytime.

You did a wonderful job on this review. It was almost like sailing again. We had an awesome time on this ship. First saw Music & Magic on the Victory in 12/2007 on our Honeymoon Cruise. We have looked for them on every ship since. This was a nice surprise. If I remember correctly there next contract is on the Sunshine.

Will be sad to see the Magic leave Port Canaveral. As this is the closest port with a larger ship than the Fantasy class for us.

My vote is for the Magic. Was just on the Magic in November and the cruise was awesome. Plenty to do if you wanted or just be laid back like my DH and I. Have a great cruise.

I do have a question for you. We are taking the same cruise this summer and I am wondering if you can tell me which night the second elegant night is. Is it Grand Turk night? It's my step sons birthday and we want to book the steakhouse but want to avoid elegant night if at all possible!

If I remember correct is was the same day as Grand Turk.
