on our first cruise (HONEYMOON!!)on the Grand, we booked a balcony guarantee. We were originally assigned to one of those rooms that overlooks the promenade. A few weeks before our sailing I logged in and saw that we had been moved to a Caribe, midship!! It was PERFECT.

I have not booked a guarantee since then because we have taken the kids with us and needed rooms near each other. However, I probably would do it in the future.
