Just off the Getaway this morning, I want to share my experience with Premium Plus.
-We had all the Pellegrino our hearts desired (probably 6 bottles a day, at the very least).
- I think my husband and I tried almost every single drink on the Starbucks menu. It was fun to find new favorites (Salted Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew) and to try things we’d never pay out of pocket for on land (All of the Frappuccinos).
-Supply chain issues were most evident with the wines, but the Wine Stewards would do everything they could to make sure you had something that made you happy. Day 2 they ran out of Tempranillo, they were very apologetic and offered some different wines that ended up being our new favorites.-Veuve, Veuve everywhere. We drank plenty and they were quick to refill.
-No significant issues with supply of the liquors except for no Whistle Pig.
Was it worth it?
Definitely for us, for the experience. We had free range to try everything without having to sign a receipt at the end. The access to sparkling water without a fee each time kept us well hydrated. I don’t imagine we’ll be able to go back to the regular drink package again.

Curious as to why most people consider Veuve to be better than Moet. Had a bottle of Moet last night, and the price point ($50) was the same as the Veuve.
Personally I prefer the taste of Veuve. It is also tough to find it in stock lately where I live, as compared to Moët.

Moët and Vueve were in abundant supply and I drank enough to pay for the upgrade just in that alone 😂😂🍾🍾This is music to my ears! Boarding the Getaway tomorrow and can’t wait to enjoy lots of Veuve! 🥂

Hello! Looking to see if anyone would be so kind to share picture(s) of their freestyle dailies from their 2022 NCL Getaway cruise? Thank you in advance!!!

Thank you for the advice! We’ll try the by the glass method with the wines. Of course, I’ll be enjoying lots of Veuve too 😅

For those who have recently sailed with the PPBP: what was your favorite bottle of wine that was included in the package?

To answer Gary’s earlier question: Our favorite part of the Haven is the staff! From the Butler to the Bartenders, they are top notch. One rocky ship night, my husband was feeling under the weather. I went to get some ginger ale from the bar, which was still open. Our Bartender Ryan said, “I have a trick that works well!” And ran up to the (closed) Haven restaurant kitchen to make a plate of sliced apples, toast & cheese. My husband and I were really touched by that act of kindness- and that’s the kind of service that keeps you coming back.
20 days until we’re in the Haven on the Getaway. We can hardly wait. The Haven is truly our oasis, we’ve missed it terribly the last 2 years! The one thing we did different for this Haven trip is upgraded to the Premium Plus package, which we are excited about.-

Thank you for your thorough report. This has been such a blast to read. I am also the super planner of my family, so I relate to your perspective. We’re counting down the days to our February Getaway in the Haven. You convinced us to upgrade to Premium Plus. Cheers.

Hi All! Does anyone know who the current Concierge & Haven Bartenders are on the Getaway?

Hello all. I have been trying to find what time the Escape Haven Restaurant, Bar & Pool/Hot Tubs open and close. Has anyone been on recently & can tell me? Thanks in advance!

Just received an upgrade from a Balcony to Haven Courtyard Balcony for 4/21. Fair range. Happy to find out this early. Was worried I'd hear 2 days before.

Just got off the Gem, had a Aft Penthouse Suite on deck 10. We had 2 loungers, 2 chairs & a table with plenty of room to spare. It was incredible & we loved the views it provided all week. In fact, we sat out on the balcony more on this trip than any previous cruise.

Have a blast! We'll be in your shoes next week and we can't wait!!

I just found this thread, but I started a self-challenge at 80 days out from the cruise of staying 100% low carb & exercising 5 days a week. I'm now 19 days away from the cruise and I fit into all of my (much smaller) cruise clothes!! Hurray :) It can be difficult, but the results make it worth it.

Thanks for the ideas. We are having a butler for the first time in 19 days (not that I'm counting or anything!!! ;) )
-
Afternoon treats were either chocolate covered strawberries, savory snacks or other sweets. With so much food on board, and with our Senior appetites not what they once were, we only ate about half of the treats.
On day 1, the Butler also brought a basket of fresh fruits which went untouched.
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing! What kind of treats did the butler bring in the afternoon?

I agree- Cagney's is where the romance is! Moderno's has many more interruptions (though delicious interruptions....still interruptions ;) )

This is such a fun thread. Thanks for taking us along!

Great to hear these reviews! We just received our email from NCL requesting we verify our full legal names for the airfare, so hoping that means we’ll receive our flight info soon-ish. With the cost savings, I’m happy to be flexible with whatever they book for us.
