  1. I haven’t boarded in Barcelona before.  We are going on a 26 day TA in November.  Just wondering if it’s as easy to board with wine and Pepsi as it is everywhere else.  If someone has done it, please let me know if anything is quirky.  Of course, we know to pay the per bottle corkage fee and that a reasonable amount of Pepsi is normally allowed.  Please understand, for my husband there is a *huge* difference between Coke and Pepsi.  I just accept it but cannot explain it. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️  Thanks!😎

  2. All advice and/or experience appreciated.  I understand when and the procedure to transfer bookings I think.  My question is about the CVP.  Does she lose commission if I do this?  I seem to remember that as Princess employees they work for wages not commissions but I’m not sure I’m right.  She has been so helpful but I can save $600+ on a 26 day cruise, add $360 more OBC and a dinner for 2. I like that!  Also, can I still book EZAir?  We’ve had good luck with that using Delta every time.  Thanks!

  3. We have transportation to Port Everglades through our hotel.  There will be 2 suitcases a carry on and a wheelchair.  No problem so far.  My question is-when we return, how do I get a taxi that will accommodate the wheelchair and our stuff?  This is our first trip with a wheelchair because it’s too far for my husband to walk now.  Thanks!

  4. First time on Celebrity…many cruises on HAL and Princess.  On HAL, a copy of a DD 214 was emailed in and it was kept on file and applied to every cruise.  My husband is a veteran discharged in 1959 and has no ID other than discharge papers and a DD 214.  He is not comfortable taking his only copy of that doc to show at embarkation.  How does Celebrity handle this?  Thanks!

  5. Our travel life has changed a bit due to modified mobility.  We can continue to cruise with the right scooter for my husband.  Has anyone had experience with a remote control foldable light weight scooter?  We would like to purchase one that can go through the airports to the gate and fold up to charge in our cabin.  It’s very difficult to know which online reviews to believe.  I’m hoping that fellow cruisers might share their thoughts.  Oh, we do not want to rent aboard.  A scooter will be needed for the whole trip.  Thanks so much.

  7. We are exploring options for a new cruise line home. Celebrity looks like it would fit us just fine. Normally, we book balcony cabins except on TA cruises when OV are just fine. We are 70ish and enjoy cruising. Any thoughts about the best things about X would be appreciated. TIA!

  8. We cruise annually and the last two cruises have been with Princess. Their breakfast menu is quite abbreviated, think continental breakfast, and room service does not reflect the MDR menu for any meal, really.

We miss the full breakfast on HAL ships and are getting ready to book our next two cruises. With the cutbacks throughout the fleet, I’m curious to know if the eggs, breakfast meats and lox and bagels are still available.

One of the cruises will be a TA and with all the sea days a nice room service breakfast is important.

    Thanks!

  9. Thanks for the prompt replies, The club Class has us very close to the mid ship lifts so that will help him getbto the MDR or wherever and to th casino. Once aboard, we just walk and wander at his pace.

I will tell the first Princess rep. we see of our need. Does anyone know of any paperwork to be done, or just phone calls? John gets a bit anxious when things seem so,etching other than smooth. He's very kind, but not as patient as I'd like. LOL

Thanks so much for sharing your experience and knowledge. 😎🍺👏

  10. My husband is 80 and has compromised breathing while walking. Stairs and inclines are a particular challenge. For that reason alone, I have booked the Club Class Mini Suite to avoid waiting and have priority embarkation for him.

Normally, we cruise with HAL and accessible boarding goes with that/our demographic. I haven't been able to locate information regarding being met by a porter with a wheelchair to board, in Vancouver. Does anyone have any info to help?

Also, any experience with Luggage Valet in Vancouver would be of interest.

Thanks to you all in advance for helping us! 😎😎🍾

  11. We have stayed in a 6100 cabin a couple years ago and enjoyed the quick access to the deck one deck below the bridge. It had a quirky charm.

I am wondering if anyone has any current information about these cabins. The one we occupied did not have a couch or love seat, so that was a negative. We are hoping perhaps that has been rectified. Under consideration is a SA cruise. Thanks for any insight.

  12. As cruisers new to HAL, we just can't stay home with the last sale, so we leave later this month. Not the best itinerary, but we expect to have a great time on the NA. :)

Did I read somewhere that we are allowed to remain in our cabin until we are called to disembark?

Has anyone called room service for items from the MDR menu for dinner?

We welcome any ideas or tips, as we will not be going ashore at two ports of call, so will have 4 days aboard. We have already ordered our in room vodka, so with the verandah, we will be just fine. ;)

    Thanks so much!
