  1. Natefish95 my granddaughter leaves Sunday she has been asking me questions about things on the ship I have never been on a Carnival ship I'm sure a lot of things are the same on all ships but I am just checking. Are there hair driers, also are steamers allowed and is there a laundry room, years ago on Princess they had laundry rooms not sure if Carnival has them.

  2. My granddaughter is leaving Sunday and is asking me questions about things on the ship. I have never been on Carnival ship I am just checking about a few things. Is there a hair drier in the cabin also are steamers allowed. Years ago when I was on Princess they had laundry rooms does Fascination have a laundry room?

  3. Finally able to get into celebrity website without being locked. When I went onto site I did not logon I just clicked onto manage my vacation. Was able to check out restaurants and other things. It does no make sense if you have a cruise booked and you go onto manage my account they lock you out, but when you don’t login you can accomplish everything.:D

  4. Have spent 2days trying to access restaurant menus. Blaming my lap top then ipad. Called celebrity about being locked out they suggested I use manage my vacation instead of manage my account. While waiting my 20 minutes to get unlocked again thought I would see what's new on cruise critic. Wish I had seen this thread earlier. Will try again using manage my vacation and see how it works. I always like to see the menus before the cruise, and other things that are happening on the cruise.

  5. We are booked on Anthum Jan 2016 and have just found out about DD. I like traditional dinning. Since it seems I don't have a choice I will try classic dining. But I know I don't want DD to much of a hassle I am on vacation and just want to go to the dinning room and eat, not have to decide which restaurant I am going to. We do specialty restaurants sometimes but do not want to decide where to eat everynight. I don't think they can change the dinning on the smaller ships, but if they do go to just dd on all their ships I know I will not sail with Royal!
  6. You will not have points added to your crown and anchor status, but will be given an equal status on Celebrity. I would check with Celebrity and give them your crown and anchor number. Also check with TA and give them your number.

  7. You can rent a scooter to use on board. Contact Celebrity for the name of the company. The scooter will be waiting in your cabin. We used a wheel chair once onboard and found it to be very hard pushing around since carpet covers many areas. Don't need to use all the time but may be useful when you need to go from dinner to shows which are at opposite ends of the ship. If you just want embarkation and disembarkation just ask when you check in.

  8. We were on Granduer out of Baltimore several years ago and had sewage problem came up into our shower one day we could not even use our bathroom for afternoon into late at night. It's not fun when you wake up during the night and have to go down one deck to use a public bathroom. Sorry to see she still has problems we like sailing from Baltimore sorry to see Enchantment leave and wish RCCL would put any ship but Granduer there.

  9. Hi everyone,

When I first started this thread I never dreamed there would be such a response. I check from time to time and really enjoy reading about everyone's memories. I think some people have been able to connect with old friends through this thread. We are still cruising and enjoying every minute of it. Hope to read about more people's time on the Veracruz!

  10. Really enjoy reading everyones memories of the Veracurz never thought when I started this thread it would keep going so long.

Paul --Happy Snapper Loved the pictures brought back many memories of photos we took with our uncle and people we meet on cruise. Went and found them some seemed to be taken in same place as yours, which with the size of the ship is not surprising.

Hope people keep posting there memories of a fine ship. Have sailed on one of the smallest ships and soon to be sailing on the biggest ship. We are sailing Feb 20 2010 on Oasis of the Seas. Oh how cruising has changed!!!!

  11. I keep checking back and reading all the posts. Seems like alot of us present cruisers started out on the Veracruz and have great memories of her. I have been on Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas and many others and think back to how we managed in our small inside stateroom we now have a balcony all the time.

The crew we had was the best and seemed to do double duty at everything but always had a happy word for us and everyone seemed to know everyones name.

  12. Tarainga,

Go to RCCL.Com click Before you board scroll down to online check in. You can do all your paper work before you get to ship much easier. Also you can find answers to many of your questions at this site.

It is easy to get cab or van from airport to ship when you land.

We are doing the cruise 3-2-08 we are going to Playa Del Carmen instead of Costa Maya isn't your cruise also doing this? Costa Maya was damaged during storm I didn't think ships were going there yet.

The cave tubing in Belize is fun we did it last time we were there.
