  1. This was 10 years ago now, but I was 21 on my Allure cruise and they had an 18-20+ meetup the first day and the group kind of came up with some ideas of things that we would like to do. The staff member who was assigned to our group was great and got us set up with private flowrider time as well as other events. Not sure if they still do it though.

  2. I was on Allure 5 years ago now, but they may still do this. they had an 18-20 "group" that was mostly informal. It was really a bunch of the 18-25 crowd and a crew member was designated as the "leader." That person set up a meet and greet the first night and some other events during the cruise, mostly tailored to the group he had.

  3. I have searched high and low for pictures of the cabin configuration for cabin 7598 on the Serenade of the Seas. Does anyone have info on the location of the pullman bed? When I was on Radiance we were also in a 4-person cabin and the pullman was above the bed, but I'm wondering if this one might be configured with it over the sofa. Anyone able to provide assistance?

  4. I am 2 days from sailing, but decided to check anyways after reading this thread. There are 4 of us in a cabin (me, bf, bf's brother and brothers friend, both 17). We had 3112 Oceanview and saw we were upgraded to 8124 balcony! I am so excited for this, but you guys are the only ones I can share my excitement with right now!

  5. I do not have pictures, and this is not what you asked for, but have you looked into the cost of 2 connecting rooms? You may have booked on the kids sail free promo which would definatly make the one room less expensive. However, I bring up the 2 room option only because it was not anything I ever looked at as a viable option until someone else brought up that often it is only minimally more for the second room

It was booked months ago, we're past final payment with no other rooms.

I had looked on google and it seemed no matter how specific i searched i was getting mostly quads from other lines. Guess I'll have to see when were there. Don't really want to have to sleep in a twin across the cabin from the bf.

  6. I'm going to be in cabin 3112 on the Radiance with my boyfriend and two teenage boys (17). Does anyone have pictures of how the room looks with all beds down and made? On carnival we had an ocean view with a queen, twin sofa bed and pullman so I'm curious how the layout will be different.

This is the dress I just got from TNGALOHA. It fits perfectly! I may even be able to wear it as a strapless dress which is not something i do often because I'm afraid of having to pull them up all the time! She also sent me the pink Nina shoes. They are lovely but a little higher than I'm used to so i will have to practice if i wasn't to wear them in the ship!

  8. I was on Allure with my mother in 2011 when I was 21. They did set up an 18-20+ group and since our 'leader' was 25 he encouraged people up to that age to join. I had a good time and made lots of friends. Not sure if that is common on any of the other ships though.

  9. I cannot comment on RCI (yet) but on Carnival the staff bent over backwards to ensure that my BF's brother (who has celiacs and type 1 diabetes) got several choices each night and worked to let him know what he could and couldn't have in both the MDR and the buffet. From my experience, the MDR will do everything in their power to make the passengers happy but most people with celiacs will understand that not everything will be available on a ship.

  10. Thank you all for you helpful suggestions. I will take them all into considerations. Defiantly not Alaska. In my mind that's a little to cold.. Although would be fun on down the line after some starter experiences. What are both of your inputs on celebrity cruises. Cause dressing up is something me and my boyfriend would love to do!

I am 24 and will be embarking on my 10th cruise in May. My BY FAR favorite line is Royal Caribbean. Celebrity is geared towards older cruisers (40s and 50s from my experience). Royal has many different activities that avail to all different types of personalities and opportunities to do whatever you wish. I would suggest that if you go the Royal Caribbean route that you do not go on Oasis or Allure. While I went on Allure (on her 5th cruise out) and I LOVED her, for a first timer it could easily be overwhelming and you would only be able to compare future cruises to that one. My personal recommendation would be one of the Voyager class ships (Voyager, Explorer, Navigator, Adventure, or Mariner) as they still have a lot to do, but are still manageable for first timers.
