In the UK you must inform the insurance co of any conditions that occur AFTER the policy was bought also.
I think you are unwise to dismiss people's advice as "I don't need that" as from personal experience you never know how you may feel onboard. Cruising can be exausting. Rent a wheelchair and hope you don't need it see Mobility at Sea.

☹️ Oh how disappointing.
Thanks Big Mike
I knew duty free drinks get delivered last day but had thought one could purchase tobacco products for use onboard
Yes you can -- at least you could last Xmas. They sell individual cigars in Churchills Lounge

Try the honey ginger ice cream - my favourite or the Florentine basket

oh god....does anyone remember Mary??? She was self styled as the QE2 Diva and wrote several books on her travels around the world on the QE2......, she had a tiny high pitched voice and would sing opera whilst wearing an old wedding dress and had some the staff throw plastic roses at her when she finished. It wasn't quite up to Britains Got Talent.
She sailed a few times on the new Queens but has sadly fallen off the mortal coil now. She was quite a character.
I miss all the old characters from the old days......
How could anyone forget Mary? She always insisted on performing first in the show and it was hard to get her to stop.
I have many fond memories of her on QE2.
Funny thing tho', I don't remember you Roscoe.

I got this problem resolved onboard by the future sales team. They can access all computer systems so could combine US
and UK past cruises for World Club benefits without any proof from me. It takes a little while so go see them early in cruise.
I still have different US and UK membership numbers tho. Convenient for booking in either country.

This only applies to scooters not folding wheelchairs. I have used the blue electric chair chair from MatS and Cunard had no problem approving it. I drove it all over Bergen with no problem although the cobbles did give a very bumpy ride. They provide all charging leads and plugs. You do not have to remove batteries to charge. Don't panic.

Yes, it’s true that Mobility At Sea do allow that, but I guess you then have the issue of how do you get from the cabin to the assisted disembarkation lounge? As far as I am aware, there is no option for the wheelchair pushers to collect you from your cabin.
+I have seen a mobilityatsea chair left at CPS car pick up area

You can also leave the hired chair in your cabin

Sofas
in Cunard Line
Are there sofas in QV Brittania accessible cabins?

Northern Norway during the polar night is your best bet for experiencing the northern lights.
October, February and March should be the best months for seeing the aurora borealis.
Thank you
-
In which months do you get the best chance of seeing them?
-
They are always lenient at 1st night dinner in case luggage delivery is late. You would have been OK dressed as you were.
-
They should take their original booking cnfirmation showing 1st sitting confirmed to Maitre'd on embarking.

Staying on Topic, just to say, there was quite a commotion on Q.Victoria the other month during my Caribbean cruise . Security had to be called to the Cigar smoking lounge . Apparently a row broke out between the Cigar/Pipe smokers and a group of cigarette smokers who were taking up all the seats and refused to leave, ( even though outside weather condition were fine & sunny) it further escalated when the senior bar waiter from the Commodore refused to serve the group any drinks.
The problem with this smoking room on the Victoria ( and I assume it's the same on QE ?) is that only in adverse weather conditions is cigarette smoking permitted. (there is clear signage when it is permitted and when it is not) ;)
What was the final outcome of this confrontation?

I think the rate of pay also depends on their country of oregin.

Ooh you are brave! No problem to get to the buffet if you stay on the cabin decks and take the lifts directly up.
Just avoid decks 2 & 3 after 6pm and you'll be fine. Try to wear a jacket tho'.

Could some kind person please post the current fax number for applications in th US.

I don't know the complete set of where you can and can't use OBC but you can use it on gratuities; you can't use it in the infirmary or to book a future cruise.
Or in the casino

Do they still serve afternoon tea outside on deck 12?
-
You can go to shops on crew bus (free)

I once had a Cunard booking confirmation saying 2nd sitting confirmed , but the card in the stateroom was for 1st sitting.
When I showed this to the M'D he seemed very alarmed and when we got back to the cabin there was a new card under the door with a new table number for 2nd sitting. Mistakes do sometimes happen.

Ok, I'm in the USA but cruise is in 2018 from Hamburg. Baltic cruise. Does it include ALL beverages priced up to $12 each? Are you still charged the 15% s/c?
Thank you for your replies!
We had drinks package last Xmas in PG & it included all drinks up tp $13( alcohol, juice,.coffee, soda etc )
15% was not charged. You cannot order a bottle of wine but can get unlimited glasses under price limit..
The prices appeared on your daily staenent but disappeared overnight.

If the plug wn't go into the socket as it's too close to the surface below , you can ask at reception for the socket to be turned upside down - then it works fine.

I had a L A R G E payment duplicated overnight, but then reversed, which is just as well as I would have gone into o/d and I do NOT do that.
Utter chaos.
Cunard says they will reimburse any bank charges if you email them proof
Will it really be "Anchorage"?
