We used Joe Bananas/Italy tour sharing for a trip along the Amalfi coast from Salerno port in July and the whole experience was excellent. We joined a group through cruise critic to do the tour and everything ran smoothly. The driver/guide was there to meet us as expected and he was very informative the whole day. They chose a restaurant above Ravello for us all to have a family style lunch which was a highlight. You are in the van a long time during the trip but the driver was careful and stopped at various places for us to take photos and walk around. The whole day was brilliant and we got back to port in plenty of time for sail away.
My in-laws are considering this tour in September. I've already emailed the company, but would mind sharing how much you paid? I'm having trouble finding prices anywhere.

Hello all! This may like a silly question but no harm in asking...
Sailing today on 2 day cruise and booked an inside cabin but starting to wish i had spent a little more and booked a balcony. Does upgrading even exist on day of sailing? If so, who do i ask? The person at check in? I would feel silly asking if it’s something that’s not done. Been on over 20 cruises and never wanted to change my cabin last min!

Thank you for the great info everyone! That’s exactly what i wanted to know! I have 2 children under 2 and my husband and i need a break!
Is the elite cocktail hour a one time event or it is every night? On Royal during the Diamond cocktail hour you’re able to order 3 drinks in a any bar during the event if you don’t want to go to the lounge. But i assume that’s because of overcrowding in the lounge.

I've been searching on the boards and can't find the answer. Hopefully someone has experience with this and can help. I'd like to purchase the specialty restaurant bogo deal, but I really want to dine in a specialty restaurant on the first night. I usually go to the buffet the first night and like the go the restaurants later in the cruise. Has anyone had success in changing the bogo to a different night once onboard or are they very strict about the 1st night?

DH and I will be in Bermuda in early May for a day and half on the Anthem and we are trying to plan what to do. I have a few questions about Tom Moore's Jungle, beaches, and how to get around. I will be 22 weeks pregnant but am still am very active so hiking/lots of waking won't be a problem. We are thinking that we want to visit Tom Moore's jungle and the crystal caves the first day. From looking at a map they seem fairly close to each other. Then go to the beach the 2nd day. Can we explore the jungle on our own or do we need to go with a guide or tour? From what I've ready the trails aren't clearly marked and I'm thinking we may miss a lot of sites if we don't know where they are. And if we are able to do it on our own what is the best way to get there from the ship (it says docking at Kings Wharf) On day 2, what beaches do you guys recommend? If times allows we'd like to see 2 different beaches. Not looking for crowded beaches with facilities. We'd like to go somewhere unique to Bermuda with beautiful water/sand. What do you guys suggest? And how do we get there? We are open to anything so please help if you can!

My in laws are sailing on the Freedom out of Barcelona in September and I'm trying to help them book flights. I've never used Air2Sea and tried searching on here but couldn't find much info. Can someone breakdown the benefits? Does the site show you flight times that will insure you get on/off the ship at appropriate times? I've read that RCCL would be responsible for getting you to ship if there's a delay in your flight but does anyone have experience with this? Also, the departure time offered departs at 10am the morning the ship returns. I know that ships usually reach port on disembarkation day early but will they have enough time with going through customs to check in at the airport at least 2 hours before the flight because it's an international flight?
Also they are going to purchase insurance through RCCL because my father in law has some health issues, will the flights be covered if they book with air2sea (I know this info is available somewhere online but I thought maybe someone would know from experience before I read pages of documents lol)
Here's the flights they are interested in taking. But I'm concerned they will be cutting it to close with the times offered. But if RCCL with back them up if there's a delay then it's okay.

It is definitely worth the money! It is a lot of fun and there is a lot to do! There's swimming through caves, ATV course, zip lining, and a few other things that I can't remember. And I think lunch is included too. You will definitely get your moneys worth! I can't wait to go back

Awesome review! It brought back so many memories for me! DH and I sailed on the Pride of America for our honeymoons few years ago! I have a question for you about cruising while preggo. I'm currently 11 weeks and we just booked a cruise to Bermuda with Royal in May. I will be 21 weeks at the time. How many weeks were you on this trip and how did you feel overall? I have a 7 month old and felt great during my pregnancy with him and I'm feeling great so far with baby #2. I'm just wondering if being at sea had any effect on you? Or did you feel normal? Congratulations to you guys on your upcoming new addition! It's so much fun! We are debating on whether or not to bring our baby on the Bermuda cruise (to answer your earlier question about youngest is 6 months on most North America cruises =)) so don't worry baby won't slow your cruising down one bit! I'm sure he or she will love it just as much as you guys do! Feel free to message me if you want to talk babies and pregnancy!

Just booked a cruise on Anthem in May to Bermuda. I'm pregnant (will be 20 weeks on sail date) and had limited options on where to cruise because of Zika so Bermuda was my only option and I didn't really know much about the ship when I booked except that it was new and I assumed the ship was somewhat similar to Oasis class, with neighborhoods and Aquatheater, etc. but as I'm looking into it, it seems more like the Explorer class with a few extras. For those that have sailed on both Quantum and Oasis class can you tell me how Quantum compares to Oasis. From what I can tell it seems Anthem is very technologically advanced, but that's really it? Any pics would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi jacker2014 I was married on the Allure at sea on 2/15/13. What bought out 150 Central Park for dinner and then had a reception in dazzles with a DJ. It was perfect! I would skip hors d'oeuvres prob not necessary. The bouquet really was just a few a roses, I used it for the bouquet toss and brought on my own bouquet of silk flowers I bought from a great seller on Etsy called Glam Floral. We did the ceremony at 4, dinner at 6 and reception at 8. I did get the day I requested and everyone that helped us was seriously amazing. Let me know if you have anymore questions or want to pics. I had a million questions before my wedding so feel free to ask anything! Happy planning! =)

Thanks so much for the replies. Still on the fence on what to do! We are considering going to St. John's instead. We were in St. Thomas a few years ago and want to see a different island if possible. Thanks for the feedback!

Trying to decide if taking the RCCL excursion to baths at virgin gorda is worth the time and money? It's 6 hours long and is a hour an 1/2 boat ride each way (including clearing customs each way). Has anyone taken this excursion lately and can offer feedback? The pics looks amazing, but not sure we want to spend half day the time traveling and only get a little time at the baths, plus it's $160 for basically just the ride, nothing else included. But if the baths are really something special we will go for it.

There was no cost to rent dazzels. I believe the DJ was $200 per hour.

I have lots of info you! We did get married at sea in the pinnacle lounge, its right near the pinnacle chapel. At first we wanted to get married in the chapel and the have party in the lounge but after seeing the lounge on our ship tour we found that we liked it more than the chapel. The chapel is minimally decorated and the "alter" is set up opposite the window so you really lose the view as the guests backs will be the window and the ocean won't be in background of your photos during the ceremony. In the lounge you can set up the chairs and make an "alter" pretty much where ever you want. We chose to set it up with ours guests facing the window. It was perfect we were all able to see the ocean and it made a great backdrop for our photos. Also the decor in the lounge is beautiful, it's important cause you really can't bring much on board with you in terms of decorations. (I only brought an isle runner with me). I only have a few pics on my phone, ill post a what i have on here now. But if you want to post your email ill send you bunch of pics. Let me know if you have any questions! (

Hi Lauren!
I was married on the Allure in Feb. We had the ceremony in the pinnacle lounge and then we rented out Dazzels for the party and we're able to hire one of the ships DJ's. the pinnacle lounge was beautiful. I would say it might be a little small to use as a disco. Do you have many people sailing? If you don't already have a groups coordinator call RCCLs group dept. They are the ones that book the party and DJ. If you can request a coordinator, request Ana. She was amazing! Let me know if you have any questions and ill post some pics of the lounge for you soon.
