Is there anywhere I can see a menu of what is served at this Midnight buffet/snack/inedibles?
Think of a menu for 4-8 year olds.
"Chicken" bits
Sandwiches
cookies
Makes ok drunk food.I found myself ordering room service. Charge me the $8 please.

Prices are set by Port of Miami, not RCCL.
That's their current day rate regardless of length of cruise.
Unfortunately there are few nearby offsite parking lots with decent reputation.
Every off site place I looked at has lots of busted car windows in the reviews.

Sounds like you got the bulk of it. 2 days earlier check in, you'll have a priority line and potentially lounge depending on the port. Your family that is travelling with you should be able to board with you, not 100% on that though. I'm sure someone else here will fill that in!

We always buy the drink package, regardless of casino offer etc..we never get the Elite offer which includes drinks on us everywhere.
You can always ask the host to comp a bottle or specialty dining. Have also gotten gratis trips to cherry on top, etc.

Food...jewelry, hostage for ransom...
Plenty of info on cruise sites to plan accordingly. Few boats with automatic weapons could take hostages, loot the ship, including the casino. Would be a nightmare. Highly unlikely but, people claiming it can't be done are naïve to how the real world works.

Many people cruise and never leave the ship in port. They might as well be on a CTN. Might as well just go to an all inclusive.
I agree with this to an extent but, we were just on an itinerary we've done a ton of times and elected to not get off the ship. It was basically an all inclusive (outside of CHEERS! and specialty dining) on a boat. Had balconies at all inclusives and while normally larger, it just doesn't hit the same as a balcony on a cruise to me.

My best sailaway is which ever one I happen to be on at the time.
Agreed
But, Miami wins for me though only ever left from the three East Coast FL Ports. They're all unique. Miami has South Beach and the skyline, Canveral has the space stuff, and Jax has the bridge that limits the size of ships that can sail from there.

Sea Day Brunch has had such horrid service the last couple cruises I'd skip it anyway. Sad, used to be one of our favorites.

Best time to buy them in my opinion. You pay barely more than the cost of the cup and it's filled with Fun Ship Special (rum punch).
Or - pick them up from the tables when people leave them behind thinking they didn't buy them. Not kidding on my last cruise my wife and I picked up 4.
Wow that's crazy! Stalking the atrium next time! 🤣

Bought 2 with Rum Punch or something (Fun Ship?) boarding last Month on the Conquest. ~$18 per.

Saw no dogs at the disaster that was the 11/19 Conquest boarding. The free for all must have allowed the drug smugglers to run amok. Smelled pot all over the ship.

I would never expect Carnival's Miami facilities to be at their knees because a Conquest class ship was late. Celebration sure. Shocking...
The traffic wasn't Carnival's fault. There were just too many ships coming in and out for me that day. Won't do that again. The issues at the terminal...those are squarely on CCL.

Have to give it up to the passengers from this cruise. When we showed up to the port, it was a MESS. It's likely the last sailing for us out of Port Miami for a while. Everyone it seemed showed up at the same time, along with 5 other boats in port.
The passengers from the previous cruise were still debarking until almost 4pm. They didn't start to allow people in the terminal until then. There was no priority, it was just a free for all. There were people falling out due to the heat, considering we were in the Miami sun for a few hours, though it was only 81 degrees and breezy. Carnival started handing out waters as we began to walk inside...
There was no fighting, bickering, etc from the couple different crowds of folks we were in during embarkation I was really surprised by humanity for once.
Sunset pic from the balcony as soon as we got to the room for or "2:30" boarding time and some of the crowds.
No lines, no direction, sent off to the cargo area to turn around and fight back to the terminals as the port was overwhelmed.

Went to the steakhouse on Elegant night on a 5 day on the Conquest last week. Had to cancel dessert as I couldn't eat anymore!
We usually do it once a cruise. Worth it to me, your mileage may vary!

@hard_eight was 11:30 the earliest time for check in originally? We are sailing on this ship on Dec 4th and the earliest check in was 11 which seemed odd but it looks like yours was even later.
Yes, 1130 was the first available slot. Enjoy!

On the return to Miami, Carnival Conquest deviated its course to disembark a guest who needed urgent medical attention ashore. As a result, the ship will be docking late tomorrow morning and embarkation for your cruise has been revised. We must allow debarking guests to leave the terminal before we can accommodate your arrival.
See chart above
Guests who arrive earlier will be asked to return at their newly assigned time. In preparation for departure, all guests must be on board the ship no later than 5:30 PM.
Thanks for your cooperation. We look forward to welcoming you aboard soon -
Just checked into the hotel in Miami, and both my wife's and my phone rang... Medical emergency will cause late arrival to Miami. Posting from my phone...hope this works.

The problem is they all still go to the same ports. Think we're going to try Horizon next and do the south route. Real tired of the western Caribbean
2 hours ago, Drazil65 said:We have stopped cruising out of Jax because all they were running is the fantasy class and we are not interested in that class of ship as a choice for us.
Our stupid city won't make a crappy fishing village move so we can have a port on the other side of the bridge.
