  3. Thank you so much!

We are sailing out of Port Canaveral so hopefully they will have the lines marked.

I guess I am just overthinking everything [emoji851]

Our boarding passes do say Priority !

  4. I did my online check in today .... my cruise documents say nothing about being premier, is this the norm or should I be concerned? I did call and the PVP told me that we are booked premier.

Also, will there be a separate line for is to check in at port?

    TIAfor your help

  5. The break even point for the Cheers card is not 15 drinks, It is about 4 to 6 depending which level of liquor you order. In fact, there is at least one scotch on board that will bring your break even point to 1 drink a day.

I should have been more clear, we were not concerned with hitting the 15 drink limit daily but we knew we wouldn't so we choose to turn the 5-8 drinks we did have into doubles :)

I thought I would be concerned with the "break even" point but really didn't think about it all week.

With the specialty coffees included, we found it was def worth the cost for us!

  6. We just got off the Elation today and had the Cheers package for the first time.

We are not big drinkers but found a nifty little trick for stronger drinks.

We knew we could never drink 15 drinks a day and we like the frozen drinks which seem to be weak so we would order our frozen drink and sip on it for 5 minutes and then order a shot (of whatever we wanted) and added it to our drink! Works awesome, you get the floater, only 5 min after you get your drink :)

We found that since they now included the specialty coffees, milkshakes and energy drinks that it was well worth the price!

  7. The only problem with using your birth certificate is that if by chance you have an emergency and have to fly back home from a port then you won't be able to without the passport but otherwise your documents will be on for getting on and off the ship!

The only other expense you might come across is for pictures that are taken but I have found that if we don't have any taken then I'm not tempted to buy them :)

    Hope this helps.

    Have fun and enjoy!!

  8. For those of you in a Havana Cabana on deck 5....I noticed that the glass wall does seem kind of high. I believe the wall is that height for all of Deck 5 from the restaurants on down. So when u look out you will see it but it is glass and I am sure will be kept spotless. It will also keep wind off of you. But also note that unlike lots of other regular balcony cabins, you do not have a solid divider between you and the next cabin so that is likely to promote a great breeze all the way down from the ocean! I know some of you think that the narrow walkway between your cabin and the glass wall may be open at night for others on the ship. I do not think so. I believe this will be private for you lucky Havana people! I expect there will be a gate at each end of the Havana cabanas on deck 5 that will be key card accessed. I am on deck 6 just above you in that lovely aft wrap cabin (at least I hope it is!). It provides access to all Havana stuff but is above the pool. It seems to have a regular height glass balcony wall. Not sure about the height of the glass on deck 5....you will all have to weigh in to Carnival on if you like it or not after you sail as it would not seem too hard to make it half height as the other balcony rails....

And those Havana lanais look huge....like having a front yard on a ship...

the Havana pool area looks cool....hot tubs are huge....I am hoping they can be set to jet & bubble without the heat as well as that would be fun! John Heald if you are reading this....pass it on to the Beards!!

I believe that there will be removable dividers between the patios. It looks like there is hardware on the walls and maybe they don't have them in place to make it easier access for the workers to finish up. I know most ships have removable dividers on reg balconys, I guess we shall see...the anticipation is driving me nutts!!

also hoping for bar servers to frequent that small walkway :)

  9. Just like the location of the Suites and the extra room....thanks for the input Dave.

We are on the Vista and looking forward to the "patio" instead of balcony.

And I'm sure it will be memorable even if we sleep on deck lol
