There’s an online estimator but would love to hear from someone who actually did this.  My daughter and family (4 pax) need to get to IAH after Liberty cruise ending June 30.  Taxi flat rate is $160.  Anyone actually taken Lyft or Uber from Galveston cruise terminal and recall cost? Or if there was surge pricing?  Many thanks. 

Anyone ever started and ended Baltic cruise in SPB? Regal doing that routing this summer. Seems advantage would be more leisurely visit to SPB before cruise (with visa). Any experience doing this? Advantages and disadvantages? Coming from LAX. Thx.

appreciate the varied input. but re plumbing, uh......what does one do in these circumstances without a toilet? no hot water would be bad, but no toilet???

hi, I have read experiences of people on the Oosterdam 1st post dry dock cruise in 2016. Having some of the entertainment venues limited doesn't bother me, but tales of noise and especially plumbing issues do scare me. love this port intensive Westerdam itinerary including Croatia and like idea of newly refurbished signature suite. Any comments from those on the Oosterdam from April 2016? The posts from last yr were very helpful, but wonder about thoughts looking back. Any reason to believe HAL learned from this? I realize some out of their control, but also they know all construction won't be completed in dry dock. I know it's a risk, just trying to weigh the odds of it really causing problems. no other cruise to ports we want available this spring, so would mean putting it off to 2018 if we don't want the risk. thanks for your input.

in case anyone from post Drydock Oosterdam is checking this old thread, wonder how you feel looking back. am hesitant to take Westerdam first post dry dock voyage 4/27, but it's great itinerary and would be nice to be in a new signature suite. any comments appreciated. our 12 day cruise is port intensive, but do have concerns there could be sane plumbing problems, etc. someone reported no toilet for a day? Uh, what? Thx.

These responses are so helpful. And so varied. The other time we could go is end of August and once I read about mosquitoes in Venice that seemed like a no-go. Hmmmmmmm........hard to leave sunny LA for a Med cruise with rain and gloom. Got to ponder this some more.

Btw, whenever we go we will stay two days in Venice and a few days in Padua.

We are considering Splendour of the Seas out of Venice Nov 7 to Dubrovnik, Rhodes, Kusadasi and Split. I have looked up weather and it could be cold and rainy. Also realize advantage of fewer crowds. Would love to hear from folks who have done the Med in November. Was weather a problem for sightseeing? Rougher seas than other times in the Med? Any input? Work schedule gets in way of more desirable October and we like this itinerary. Thank you!
