  1. We will be there for the first time this summer with two teenagers aged 16 and 18.  They would like to do the zipline, but us parents would not!  How would we meet them when they have finished?  Are they brought back to the start?

Would the water inflatables be a bit young for older teenagers?  What about the water slides?  And I may as well ask about the coaster too, while I'm here!  Is that fun for older kids?

Thanks in advance, really looking forward to it!

  2. Hi all

Normally I am a reader not poster and normally I can find anything I need to know by reading through the forums, but this time I'm stuck and hoping you lovely people can help!

We are going on Regal Princess in October out of Brooklyn.  Flying into JFK the day before and need a hotel for two adults & two teenagers.  Don't need to do anything much on arrival day as it will be late afternoon by the time we get there, but a restaurant and bar in the hotel would be useful.  Any recommendations?

My main issue is disembarkation day.  Our flight back to the UK is not until 9pm.  We have been to NYC but never to Brooklyn, so I was thinking we could all walk the bridge.  However, we will have our luggage.  Any suggestions on what to do with that?  I can't find anywhere by googling that would keep it for us.  Am wondering if the hotel we stay in pre cruise might do it?  Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

  3. Hi Danish Viking

My family and I including two kids ages 13 & 11 will be in Copenhagen for 1 day in July. I see from the schedule you posted earlier in the thread we will be docking at Langeline. We would like to visit The Little Mermaid and also Tivoli. Can you please suggest the easiest way to do this using busses or taxis?

    Many thanks

    Dee

  4. Dubrovnik Travel Lady, we have returned from our cruise on Oriana and I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed our day in Dubrovnik. We used your directions to find the cable car and enjoyed stunning views from the top of it.

I think Dubvrovnik is one of my favourite cruise ports, and I hope to visit again sometime in the future.

Thanks again for all your help on this forum.

  5. Thank you, I do hope you have planned your day accordingly, there are 4 ships arriving at 0800-0900 and departing at the same time. It will be very busy in the old town and this heat wave continues, very hot! Try to stay off the main promenade, use side streets and stop for a cold drink often. The very best gelato shops are not on the main drag, again use side streets. Do remember this thread was begun some time ago and prices have increased in many instances. Did you actually read the entire thread?

Dubrovnik itself is a piece of art, I do hope you enjoy my magical home.

Yes, I have read the whole thread!

We visited Dubrovnik last year on Aurora and did a P&O excursion - walked the walls, visited the museum, wandered around the shops etc, so I do have a slight sense of bearing.

This time however we are going to DIY, hence more background research required! I see we are due to berth at Gruz, and the plan is to go up the cable car, so I think our plan is to get a taxi from the dock to the lower cable car station, or perhaps a shuttle bus to the town and then follow your walking instructions which I have printed off from one of your earlier posts.

We loved Dubrovnik and are looking forward to spending another day there.

    Thanks again.

  6. Hi Dubrovnik Travel Lady

I have read through this thread with much interest as we are visiting Dubrovnik on Oriana on the 29th July. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the time and effort you put into answering all the questions - I have found lots of relevant information and downloaded the map etc, and am looking forward to our day in Dubrovnik.
