Hello. Going on my first MSC cruise soon and we are booked in a Yacht Club suite. Question regarding the private restaurant for Yacht Club guests. What is the attire for dinner? Can you go fairly casual (like shorts) or do we need to plan for something a little nicer like slacks or a dress?

Loved the video! Did you post a review of your cruise? Would love to hear more about the excursions you selected.

We will be driving up to Hanalei while in Kauai. Any good lunch recommendations on the way?
-
pe4all - question for you. We were on the POA a couple of years ago and there was a terrific Hawaiian music duo that played in pink champagne bar each day. We really enjoyed their music and nicknamed them "the Ukulele boys." Do you know if they are still playing on the ship?
-
I know it's at the captain's discretion, but for you previous Breakaway cruisers, which side of the ship faced the dock while in port? Just trying to see if there is a preferred side the captain usually selects.

A little late, but I'm following!

Yes there are two trails and I have personally been on both of them.
I'm not sure that you understand the Baths - crawling through the rocks is the Baths. To view them and experience them you have to go into the small spaces, BUT once you are inside they are very roomy, the only real small space is the entrance.
Thank you for the information. Question, can you go straight to the water where the boulders are rather than starting at the top and working your way down? I'm concerned about the size of one of our party members and don't want them to get embarassed or feel uncomfortable. I saw a tripadvisor review saying it's a tight squeeze taking the trail down from the top.
-
Yes there are 2 paths and they not that bad. There are some tight spaces in the Baths if you choose to go that direction through the Baths.
Thanks for your response! I was hoping there was an option for no tight squeezes through boulders.

I've been searching and reading, reading, reading to no avail. I'm probably just missing what I'm looking for or not searching for the right thing. Hoping someone who has been there can clarify for me. Here's what I need to know:
If you start at the top at the restaurant and hike it down to to the water - are there two options/paths to hike? Meaning, one through Devils Bay Trail which is a little rougher path and then another easier path? I'm trying to determine if there is a way to get to the Baths via land that doesn't require us to squeeze in small areas between boulders and hike over rough terrain.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

in nassau, here's a walking tour that hits on a lot of the points of interest right around (and obviously within walking distance) the port:
with explanation here:

i've done that and stopped in at a few of the spots on the tour like fort fincastle and the queen's staircase, the library and a few others too - like actually visiting the senate chamber in parliament square (they don't really offer tours but i met a nice security guard hehe).
also within walking distance is the british colonial hilton, they have a day pass available with food / drink vouchers, etc. - it's right next to the port. there's a pirate museum in the same area.
you can also take the water taxi right next to the port over to atlantis and walk around there on your own if you like as well.
This is terrific information on Nassau. We've been there many times and were running out of ideas. This may just be the thing for us this time. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the recommendations! I don't live locally so I'll explore the other two recommendations as options. Appreciate it!

Any suggestions on private transfer services from Fort Lauderdale to the Port of Miami and back? Would prefer to just hire a reputable company that offers private transportation (sedan or van service) rather than going the shared ride route. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Graphicguy,
I just posted the same question on another review but would also like your opinion as well. We are considering the Breakaway to Bermuda but want to know what the seas are like crossing over. Is it rough water? Notice anyone struggling with significant sea sickness from the waves? We would be going about the same time of year that you did, so any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Medtech,
So glad the review was bumped up and you are still following responses! I just read the entire review and loved it! Thank you for sharing your incredible pictures and all the details. Question for you - How was the Atlantic crossing to Bermuda? Was the day at sea rough water? We really want to go to Bermuda but are concerned about rough seas and getting sea sick.
-
Sweet! (No pun intented) Thanks Jackie!

Just bumping this thread back up to see if anyone is in "the know" on whether or not the Enchantment 4 day cruise has the chocolate breakfast in the MDR.
-
Gator - sounds like you will be getting off the ship when I am getting on. I'll wave to you in passing. ;) Thanks for the info on taking on water - appreciate it!
-
Will do! Keep reading comments about the incredible Roast Beef Sandwich at the Park Cafe. I think I might just have to try it!

Q1. Has anyone taken a case of water bottles on this ship recently? Was it allowed and did you just give it to the porter with a luggage tag hooked through it?
Q2. Does the 4 day Enchantment cruise have the chocolate breakfast in the MDR?
