  1. This is so cool!  We're going on the Jewel OTS in a few weeks; probably will be chillier than I was planning for, so will tweak the wardrobe. I was thinking 60 F in the days and 50F at night, but maybe i'm 10 degrees to high for the last week in October.

We also plan to do the mailboat in Portland and are doing a photo tour in St John and a Peggy's cove tour in Halifax NS. Also going to Sydney NS, but haven't planned anything yet (any tips will be appreciated)!

Enjoy the rest of the cruise; I'll check back to see how it was and to see what I can learn!

Good morning Tribe Family! Today is a sea day as we sail from Sydney NS to Saint John NB. it's a sunny, cool (60's) day, and the seas are fairly calm. We're going to kick back and relax, but there will be some casino, VIFP party, and some comedy time! Have a great Wednesday everyone! 😎

I hope your cruise is going well! We have one from Boston coming up next month and are looking for some tips on excursions in Sydney, Halifax and St John and would appreciate any input.  We'll also hit Portland ME and are considering the mail boat tour.

    Best,

OK fellow TRIBE cruises.  I have spent a good bit of time on the Travel Insured International web site educating myself.

I had to stop last night brain overload because for the life of me I could not understand how they can provide an Annual Policy for $94 pp yet an individual trip cost is in excess of $100-$1500.

I tried to create an account to see if I could read the fine print of the policy but all it wants me to do is purchase and I am not ready.  I must be doing something incorrectly for sure.

So today I looked around on the web site some more.  While I have never had trip insurance so I have never had to file a claim OMG talk about jumping thru hoops to file a claim and get your $$$ back....they want everything up to your first born grandchild!

Something is causing me to put the yellow flag us and I was ready to pull the trigger.  PLEASE fellow Tribe tell me what I am missing here.  My gut says "if it is too good to be true" it probably is.

Thankfully I have time to make my decisions.

I've used https://www.squaremouth.com/ to compare rates from several carriers and have purchased through them for a couple charter cruises. It was pretty straight forward and wound up insured by Nationwide on one and Prudential for the other.

    I hope this helps!

"... I’m home on pup/Mom duty. If I remember correctly, the charter company doesn’t release the bookings to RCL until 30 or 60 days prior. Once they do and show on the website, things open up. Not sure what all is available, but I do know the Deluxe Beverage Package is not an option 😁

Your DH is lucky, but pup duty is a blast...got room for 2 more?  🤪

Thx for the info!  I can probably look at adjacent sailings to get an idea... or could look at independents.

No beverage pkg?  What a surprise.. like limited menu take-out on New Year's eve

Are you going in 2024? This will be our first one... can't wait!

When can we start booking excursions, etc.?  Last time I looked on RC site, that date wasn't shown.
