  1. We stayed at the Hyatt Place Downtown Tampa in January before our cruise. It was very clean with a free breakfast bar that had everything possible. They also have a happy hour from 4-6pm daily, where they have half priced drinks and appetizers. The happy hour was wonderful. You can easily walk a couple blocks to the free trolley and to the river front walk. There are restaurants with walking distance also. There is the Tampa aquarium which is very nice within walking distance and this is also where you board the cruise ships.

  2. Does anyone know of an email address or phone number to call for specialty dining on the Sun? We made reservations for Cagney and now the itinerary has changed and we will be on a tour at the time I have reservations. We are celebrating a birthday and engagement. I’ve  called Ncl and was told the time can’t be changed cause there are no tables available for 6 people. I was told to check once I got on board but I’d like to do it now if possible. Anyone have any suggestions to fix my problem? Thank you in advance. 

  3. Morpheusofthesea could you do me a big favor? I was on the October 29 sailing and lost the address of one of the bartenders. JoJo the bartender at the casino bar gave me his name and address so I could send him something to the ship and now I can’t find it. Would you be so kind as to ask JoJo for his address and tell him it’s for TR the Walmart guy. You can send JoJo’s address to me at trharley1450@yahoo.com.   5. I booked cabin 13190 on Anthem and was told it was an unobstructed room. I realize there is the metal overhang from the deck above but saw some sites for viewing deck plans say cabin 13190 is obstructed but the rooms next door aren’t. Does anyone know what the obstruction would be for this room. Thank you for any help figuring this out.

  6. I was already on my way to the Port for a couple of days of sightseeing before our cruise when I got the text message about the delayed boarding. I called Royal and the supervisor said they are paying for the cost of motel rooms for Thursday and Friday and meals for guest who have already left home for the cruise. You have to submit your receipts to royalguestrelations@rccl.com for a full refund. I thought this was really nice of Royal to do this for the guest who were already on their way.

  7. Thank you for the update!! Glad it worked out..... but what about the issue with your TA not speaking to you after all the business you've sent their way?? What came of that?

    The supervisor was not sure why the agent did this. She stated that she overheard the agent arguing with NCL and couldn't make them see their mistake. Not sure if she just had it and needed a break. My agent has always been a good agent.

  8. Thank you to everyone who responded to my situation. The problem has been resolved. NCL reviewed the taped conversation between my agent and them, finding the mistake was made on their part. NCL honored the quoted price and gave me the balcony plus they gave me $400 shipboard credit, $200 shore excursions credit, beverage package, and dining package and 250 minutes of wifi. I believe NCL went above and beyond and I am very thankful to them for this. I am also thankful my agent and her supervisor went to bat for me. Very pleased with the outcome.

  9. I heard from the supervisor at this agency late last night. She informed me they are still working on it. That it was a mistake by NCL and she and a supervisor there are working to resolve this. She also stated that she feels NCL should honor the misquoted price that I agreed to. NCL will make a decision by Tuesday the lastest.

  10. Leaving for the Gem on February 24. I called my agent to upgrade from inside to balcony, she did some figuring with NCL and they came up with a price of $375.18 for the upgrade, I agreed to the price. I then checked my account on NCL and the upgrade showed I was now in a balcony room. Thirty minutes later I get a call from my agent saying NCL called her back and said they made a mistake I owe another $400.00 more for the upgrade and I have not been moved to the balcony yet. I told her I checked my account with NCL and it is stating I am in a balcony. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said they were to busy to speak to me, that she was reverting me back to inside cabin and she could no longer talk to me. Six hours later I receive a email stating supervisor is reviewing taped conversation with NCL and she will contact me in 48 hours. My question is do you think I should get the balcony for the price they originally quoted me and I agreed to?

  11. Did you use the parking coupon that is floating around on the boards here? There has been reports that they are not accepting it anymore. We were going to use it for our April 18 sailing on the Gem but decided to take the ferry because they weren't excepting the coupon. Now I'm not sure what to do, as we would rather park at the pier.
