The new itineraries are out and we just booked the June 4 Fjord cruise. Slightly different itinerary but I like it even better than the original June 21 one that was cancelled.

One or two TVs in these suites?

I have occasionally seen special 1 or 2 week sales for specific sailings. ( above and beyond the traditional pricing and airfare from LAX). Do these come out sporadically or is there a time to keep our eyes open?
We'll looking to travel in 2018.

Considering a Panama/ Costa Rica cruise in February. Can anyone tell me the typical sea conditions on this itinerary?

Can someone confirm if the midship Classic suites have a view blocked by the lifeboats?
Any benefits to the Classic suites forward?
Considering this for a Panama Costa Rica itinerary.

Just back from our first sailing on Windsurf and loved every minute of it. Very impressed with the service and food and the entire experience of sailing on a smaller vessel.
Staff were universally excellent. The spa was expensive but the staff were first rate, very professional.
We had a suite and are spoiled now forever. Two bathrooms and more storage than we could ever use. Was a splurge that we felt was worth it.
We have previously enjoyed cruises on big ships but this felt totally different, more like a yacht. A very relaxed yet luxurious experience. I loved that we were under sail a great deal, I had assumed they were more for show.
A huge percentage of the passengers were repeat guests. We will be joining that group:)
All in all, we rated this vacation a 10 out of 10!!!!!

We're on the Windsurf Feb 7 out of St Martin. Will be our first time sailing Windstar. Not sure how busy or lazy we want to be. For those who have done this itinerary, is it really necessary to book excursions in advance or can we decide once on board? The ones we might be most interested in are the catamaran sails. Would love some input.

After listening to all the responses and because we're celebrating a big birthday, we're splurging for a suite. Just don't want to take the chance of having cabin fever.
Very excited for our cruise coming up quickly in February!

Thank you, that answers my questions. We've just booked the Feb 7 sailing and can't wait to try the Windsurf

That isn't quite what I meant. There seem to be blocks of 3 suites and 1 cabin with a space between the blocks. Example, deck plan shows an opening between 317 and 319.

I have a question my TA couldn't answer- on deck 3, the deck plan shows groups of suites/cabins interspersed with small spaces. Anyone know what these spaces represent? Storage closets? Stairs?
And on the Caribbean Classic itinerary, is one side of the ship any better than the other?
Thanks for input.

So we're going to splurge( big birthday and anniversary) and book a suite on the Windsurf. Can anyone tell me if the Bridge Suite is worth the extra $$? Have read some negative reviews re privacy and wondering if we'd feel too isolated.

Everything I have read about Windstar is very appealing, a change from traditional cruising. Everything that is, except for the cabin size and no balcony. I am somewhat claustrophic and worry that 188 square feet will feel terribly small.
We did a river cruise in Europe in a 153 sq ft cabin and were very unhappy(it didn't help it was cold and rainy so we couldn't open French balcony)
Could I have some feedback from some of you who have sailed on the Windsurf? I'm sure there are many like me who don't like small spaces.
Luggage Forwarding Japan
in Silversea
Posted
We are doing a one week land tour of Japan prior to embarking Silversea Muse on Sept 25 in Yokohama. We will travel that one week with carryon only. How and where do we send our larger luggage to be waiting for us on board? Sounds like luggage forwarding is common in Japan, at least to your next hotel, but we’re forwarding a week ahead and no one can tell us exactly where to send it! Very frustrated and I don’t want to be worrying about luggage.
Any suggestions?
