Husband used to work for RCI as a waiter. Yes they make about $50 per month w/o tips. They aslo have to pay for thier laundry room cleaning fee, internet, etc. Some people tip the suggested amt some do not and some do not tip at all. There is no off days off. The wait staff may get a breakfast or lunch off but never a day. They work 6 mo contract and pay for thier ticket. The wait staff tips are not pooled but the CS not so sure as on the Magic we had 2 people.

I have been on 27 cruises and had not seen it until we went on the Disney magic 2 years ago. We then decided to do it on our cruise to Hawaii on the Radiance We also call us the "roaming Gnomes" I did this all before we left for the cruise. I got a piece of Poster board and went to Michaels and got a lot of scrapbooking things related to Hawaii and cruises. I put it on our door. I had things like luau's, lei's and beaches, volcano's. For our cruise on the legend next month I am not going to do that but I am going to put Haloween decorations on the door. They don't like the tape but you can get the magnetic sticky tape at Hobby Lobby.

We did a door decoration to Hawaii last year on RCI. It was posterboard and then I did scrapbooking stickers and what not about the cruise and Hawaii. We secured it with magnetic tape. We will do the same for our Haloween cruise on the Spirit
