My daughter is getting married on the 9/1 sailing of Allure. I hope this storm doesn't affect our embarkation. I don't care where we go as long as we get on the ship!

My daughter's wedding cruise is 9/1 on the Allure. We're pretty nervous about this. Any predictions?

No experience with Gift Certificates, but yes to Onboard Credit.
The gift certificates are redeemable 2 ways -
1. onboard credit
2. on a new cruise purchase

I purchased $250 RCL gift certificates for my adult childrens' cabins to pay for their gratuities. In the email they received with the instructions how to redeem, it says -
This certificate may not be used to pay for any government fees, taxes, onboard gratuities, games of chance and or similar activities. This certificate can not be used and is not applicable for charters and may not be used for certain customized group programs (i.e. value add groups).
But when I search, I get conflicting information that says yes, it just gets applied to your balance.

Oh, I thought it was one point per night and that the 9 night cruise would be 9 points.
Did everyone get a "fudge factor" point when they converted?

I think my C&A points may be wrong.
I haven't cruised RCL since 2004 and since then they have changed the way they calculate points.
I cruised 3 times -
9 nights
7 nights
7 nights
So by my calculation, I should have 23 points.
But my C&A shows 22 points.

Thanks for the great info! I'm debating trying to change my cabin to get a steel balcony. I used an acquaintance that is a cruise agent and I will feel like an idiot asking her to check. Will MSC be able to tell her which ones are available?

I have a cruise booked on the Divina and I'm bringing my 11 year old step-son and 7 year old step-granddaughter. Has anyone brought kids around those ages? Did they enjoy the kids club facilities and activities? The kids are asking me what kinds of activities they offer.
I tried looking on the MSC website, but I can't find any info other than the sign-up form.

We are in 11254.
I didn't book an ocean view because my husband and kids will enjoy the balcony.

I just booked a balcony on deck 11 and I know this is crazy, but I'm hoping it's the steel one. I am scared of heights and won't be able to go out there if it's the glass wall.

I wonder where the cut-off is for bringing the ship into port/sending it out. Do they still sail if it's a tropical storm and not a hurricane? How bad does it have to be for Allure not to come in or go out on Sunday? It looks like Port Everglades will be getting some kind of rain/wind on 9/1.
I'm stressing because I think we may need a plan B for my daughter's wedding.
