.. I have one - although it actually happened on a train ride after our cruise just last week!
We took the dome train from Seward to Anchorage. When we got on, they made several announcements which included "Do not remove your shoes" - which I wish they would make on air planes!!! ;) Another announcement they made was that if anyone saw any wild life .. an eagle or a bear or moose etc.. that they should shout it out so every one could see it; after all, this was a scenic train route. The conductor of the train would slow the train down - so we could get better and more pictures!
Our train ride was 4 hours long. Most of the time I just watched out the window, but I did have time to chat with the lady sitting behind me. As we were coming into Anchorage, we started to see several homes - obviously built by the same builder as most had a second story balcony. Althouth it was 10:15pm, the sun was still out and lots of people were waving to us from their balconies.
All of a sudden I saw a stark naked rather heavy ( I am being nice here) man. He was outside on his second story balcony walking from one side to the other.
I stared.. I blinked... I stared again and then turned my head to see if the lady sitting behind me saw what I saw. She had the same dumb founded look on her face that I had on mine..... and I loudly said.... (wait for it) .....

DH bought me a diamond wedding ring on our cruise... after we have been married for 20 years! We have had the means to buy one for a very long time - I just never found one I loved until our stop in St. Marten!

Except for the heels and makeup, I wish I could wear a dress. It takes my wife all of 5 minutes to slip on her outfit. At best it weighs all of eight ounces and her few undergarments look like they weigh nothing. A dress looks pretty comfy and well ventilated to me. I could almost ball up her whole outfit and fit it in my shoe. Takes the better part of a suitcase to fit two of my suits. :p
whine whine whine (I am just playing with you)..:D
try strapping yourself into a corset...or navagate down stairs in stellettos.. trouble - yeah ..pain in the butt - you bet. But seeing my husbands big doe eyes when he sees me...priceless.

I'll wear a suit and tie (or even an odd jacket and tie) any chance I get.
I'll often be the only man wearing one and that's fine by me.
I can even leave the house without wearing a baseball cap!
I save the t-shirt for cleaning out the garage.
..and I'll bet you have no problem getting your choice of dates either..:D

Thank you for posting this review. We are going on the Solstice on the 08Aug - E. caribb. and this will be our very first cruise! It was difficult to decide which cruise line... what destinations.. for us since we are new..but after reading this and other reviews, I am confident that Celebrity will suit us to a T. We currently have a balcony room and I sent an e-mail requesting information about upgrading it to AQ as I know that would suit my dieting likes and dislikes better...but never heard anything back from them.. Oh well - we are so excited about the trip!

I know exactly what you are talking about. DH starts his second round of chemo (much more aggresive) after we return from our cruise. It will likely last for a year. We wanted to take this cruise now so that :
1. We can do something exciting and fun that he can reflect on this next year..and
2. Plan our next cruise to give him something extra wonderful to look forward to!

Oh well - I tried to come back and delete this...realizing that it was not exactly in line with the topic... and I started a new post with it included ..since I waited longer than 15 minutes..it would not delete...so sorry for the double posting.

A couple of years after my Grandmother passed away, my parents were still going through allof her stuff. I am very sentimental about family historical things and was so worried that they would toss things I might want.. so my Mom gave me a big box of "stuff" .. consisting mostly of old pictures, scrap books from the 1940's and on, recipes ..and lots of other things.
Among the items - I found:
1. both my Grandparents expired passports with many many international stamps stamped in them...
2. Holland America cruise entertainment bills including well known acts like Victor Borge, Etheyl Merman and Russel Nypes.
3. an enclosure card from flowers sent to their cabin from a friend,
4. hand made maps charting out not only the progress of their trans-atlantic journeys with dates and weather notes
5. many pictures of them on the ship looking quite smart in their very formal attire, laying out in the sun on deck upon those old teak lounge chairs..and there was even a picture of my Grandfather standing by the ship rail wearing wooden shoes from Holland!
They cruised quite a bit during their lives and Oh my goodness - what a treasure this was to me. I took these items and afixed them into a shadow box and hung it on the wall. It is still there today.
While I am not sure that a plastic drink glass may mean something to your Grandchildren ... I assure you - the photos and other (long lasting ;)) ship memorabilia will!
If you want to see it, scroll down to the bottom 3 pictures of this post:

I love love love zumba.. the only exercise class I can't wait to go to, but whomever said it all depends on the teacher is right. I have a great teacher - but she is quite far away. I tried to go to a class closer to me and my instructor was terrible - kept forgetting the steps - had to run into a closet to change the music after each song because she did not have an ipod...
As for the exercise part - with all of the "latin dance" moves, if you do them correctly it really enhances your midsection. At 51 I have to laugh when I tell people zumba is responsible for my "2 pack"!:D
