  1. It quickly becomes my business when people become intoxicated and act obnoxious, and I don't just mean on a cruise. Anywhere there is that much drinking, not much good comes from it. So many excuses are made for people being intoxicated. Go back to church and preach to someone who will listen.

You do understand that people drinking to excess is the norm on cruise ships, yes? So why would knowingly go and then complain about it. That would be like be saying, you know I dont like queer folk then going to a gay bar....

  2. Even if two people in a cabin have to buy Cheers, they can still share. For example, a large family group sails in multiple cabins, but only one cabin buys Cheers. The people with Cheers get drinks and hand them to other family members. Seems like Carnival is saying "we know this is happening, and all we are going to do about it is make everyone in the cabin buy the package."

Maybe this solves 80% of the sharing problem and they let the other 20% go?

Yeah, and that was kind of my thinking in starting this thread. I am interested in getting the package, but my wife wont use it. On our next cruise it will be Myself, my wife, daughter (underage), and my Mother. If I book it so that my wife is in with my mother, but my daughter is with me, I can actually buy the package without being forced to waste money on a 2nd package that wouldn't be used well.

  3. ...but they are right.

Only to some degree. There are plenty out there who wouldn't. I know that my wife would only have 1 drink a day or so. So for them to force her to buy a package if I want it is a bit absurd.

  4. The minor is not allowed to purchase the Cheers package.

So in this case I would be able to purchase one just for me? I hate that they force couples to purchase two when one may not be a drinker or would drink very little. Good to know, thanks!

  5. Hello all,

We'll be staying overnight in Miami but our cruise leaves from Ft Lauderdale. What is the best mode of transportation would you recommend from Miami to Ft Lauderdale for a family of 5? Would renting a car be feasible? or should we take a cab? Uber? Please help. Thank you in advance.

This is what my wife and I have used several times. It is super cheap and efficient. Let me know if you have any questions.

  6. Has anybody had success filling rum runners and just carrying on there person. For example if my wife wore spandex and shirt that concealed, would this work since the scanners that you walk through only detect metal. They dont do pat downs that I saw. We have packed our rum runners in our bags that we gave to porters in the past and have always been successful. I was just curious on yalls thoughts.
