I got one in May with a DOD and I think it was $12.95 for the cup

Any idea how many are playing in the tournament?

Not sure but they say there is a limited number of seats. I don't remember the # that went to the next round.

I was in the slot tournament on the Breeze in 2015. The first round was the first sea day. I did not make it past that round so am unsure how many more rounds they played.

I will be playing in this one too and hoping I see what happens after round 1.

I will be sailing the magic on may 7 2016. Very excited sure it will be great. I've sailed carnival a lot and don't have ridiculous expectations of the magic so. This is not to say I think it will be bad but just that it will be carnival

I have booked for May 7th also. I have been stalking Magic forums everywhere. Most have been positive. Negative I take with a grain of salt.

If your stop is one of the private islands, lunch on the island is included. I ran into a mother trying to get her kids out of the water to go back to the ship for lunch because she did not want to pay with the ship so close.

I remember seeing a post on Carnival's forum stating that he has retired.

I have used cruise cash also. I would get the general cruise cash that you can use for any type purchase on the ship versus the type you have to use only on photos or for bar purchases.

I do have a porthole and according to carnival it is the lower with a true upper and not the couch, I was hoping that the upper could be stowed in wall or ceiling

Does the upper bed fold into the wall if you are solo in a 1A cabin?

I cruised on the Magic last March and it was the $40 a day or $249 per couple (really per two people - you didn't have to be a "couple").

Do the 2 people have to be in the same cabin?

I am divorced and on my first couple of cruises I just had my original bc (maiden name) and driver's license (kept married name because of kids). I think as long as your picture ID matches your cruise documents the name change on the birth certificate won't mater. It is expected that the name won't match for most women.

What is the cost? And you can't reserve prior to getting on the ship unless you're in a suite, correct?

We traveled there thru Carnival so we could book online before the cruise but had to check in at the Excursion Desk to reserve the cabana # you wanted. Did not matter if you had a suite or not.

Just got back from LSC, we had cabana #2 and loved it. We had direct access to the beach and could not have been happier with our choice. There was 3 of us and well worth the cost of the cabana.
