  1. We are doing Hong Kong, Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, and Singapore starting on Feb. 16, 2014 on the Millenium.

Wondering if anyone who has done this itinerary can give us any feedback on their experience especially about the weather if they have done it at this time of the year.....we do realize that the weather does vary from year to year....

We are also hoping to do a few days in Beijing before the cruise...

Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

    Thank you

I just returned from this same cruise. It was wonderful and I loved both the 2 days in most ports and the sea days inbetween to rest up. Having said that, the rides into Hanoi, Saigon and Bangkok are VERY long. I did Hanoi in one day because I wanted to do the Halong Bay tour as well and did that the second day. However, spent the night in both Saigon and Bangkok which I would strongly recommend. I used Chob in Bangkok and was thrilled with the whole experience. I used Smile in both Hanoi and Danang/Hoi An and was happy with that also. Used Zoom in Saigon and wasn't quite as happy altho nothing dramatically wrong... just not as interesting a tour or as good a guide. HongKong was a bit chilly, it rained in Hanoi and also late afternoon only in Singapore. Otherwise weather was lovely. Warmer in Saigon and Bangkok but certainly not oppressive. I know you will have a wonderful time. I can't believe my trip is over already! I'm ready to go again!

  2. I'm also booked on the Millennium, but on Feb.17, Hong Kong to Singapore. I'm also interested in finding out all I can about any of the ports on this itinarary as this is my first time to this part of the world. I have found, on previous cruises, that private guides are much less costly and much nicer - quicker, more personal, less commercial- than those offered by the cruise lines. Any suggestions of what to see and do and who to use? Thanks everyone!
