My personal experience if you are a couple you receive one bottle of wine. When we had 2 couples we still only received one bottle of wine. We are going in 3 weeks with 3 couples. I’ll let you know.

    Okay Thanks

Hello, my next cruise is on December 4th of this year, Carnival Sunrise, one of the port of call is the Cayman Islands, my understanding is that the Cayman Islands Government won't allow Cruises until January of 2022. In that  case what port of

    Thanks in advanced.

My November cruise on the Sunrise got switched to Bimini.

  3. Glad to hear they are delish. I have never tried the desserts there but they look yummy. I was always afraid to try them afraid they would be yucky and money wasted. For anyone who has eaten them, what do you recommend? Will have to do some nibbling in October. LOL

    The cheesecake is amazing

  4. The steakhouse menus are in a change over time. Horizon, Vista, all the Dream class ships have the new menu. I think a couple of other ships also have the new menu but those that have actually experienced it would need to post. The changeover was originally scheduled to be complete by March of this year but it seems to have stalled.

Food is very subjective but my favorites:

Old menu--Crab Cake, Spinach Salad, Lobster Ravioli and Chocolate Sampler.

...none of these are on the new menu. The spinach salad is listed but is changed.

New menu--Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Baby Leaf Spinach Salad, Fillet Migon or Surf and Turf, Apple Tarte Tatin with vanilla rather than Elderberry ice cream.

I did not feel the Grilled U-10 Shrimp were worth the money. The serving consisted of 4 shrimp. I am a shrimp girl and trust me they were not U-10. They were at best 16-20's.

The fruit makes a refreshing end to a meal. While I am not a big fan of frozen desserts the steakhouse does often have some very tempting varieties.

Enjoy your Steakhouse visit It is always a lovely dining experience.

Do you know if they still have the cheesecake?

  5. I would keep the cabin. They may upgrade you to a nicer 2 person cabin just to free up the 3 person cabin. Every extra person equals extra $$$ for them. This has happened to me in the past. ;)

Hmmm now that's an idea, i like the way you think

  6. There is nothing I know of that allows someone to change the room number for free. However in this case it would be in Carnival's interest to allow it so the 3 person cabin could be sold to three passengers.

I would ask to speak to a supervisor and be polite. Maybe you will get success, but be prepared for a no.

I'm always polite at least 98% of the time lol but i won't make a big deal about it as long as I'm going on a cruise, i took the room because that's all they had left and i plan on having a blast either way. No work, no grand kids for a week life is good 👍
