  1. We have booked this area 3 times with our family and love it! We were a little nervous about being on the 2nd deck initially but being so close to the water was fabulous. We have never felt additional movement or noise in this area on other ships, we sail the Vista room 2348 Sept 8th. We have stayed in the family suites on the Breeze and Dream previously. Search for Vista Family Harbor reviews there are a couple that detail the area nicely even the food options. I believe there is 2 or 3 consoles can’t remember if they were Xbox or PlayStation and board games also. There is a capachinno machine in the lounge which I’m super excited about! The only complaint I hear occasionally is if your under the galley it can

Be noisy at night but I believe you are under the restaurant so it should be quiet! Hope that helps!

  2. I just ordered my sons birth certificate, Got on the website for the county of birth, did the online request and it was fulfilled by Vital check I believe it said allow 3-4 weeks, I had it in 3 days with normal delivery option. Maybe call the county and ask what there typically turn around time is. Good luck.

  3. We always fly the day before with enough time to jump in the car and drive if something catastrophic happens at the airport. Sidenote, if you can fly out of Chattanooga instead of ATL you can fly allegiance and they have tickets for $47 each way even with the baggage fee it’s a great deal. They fly into Sanford also a hour drive to the port. I hope you can convince your DH to fly

  4. We are a family of 5 and (1 tween and two teen boys) we sail in a family suite on carnival. We have plenty of room with an extra shower and sink. I personally am just more comfortable with all my kids in the same room so this works for us. It’s a great value which is great bc my family would rather spend the money on excursions and flights instead of driving to port.

  5. We used to take those, but in looking for them for our cruise next week were told they have been discontinued. ( If you're talking about the little blue Coffee Mate french vanilla concentrate).

Oh that’s interesting I just saw them at Wal Mart last week I was hoping to find sugar free but to no avail. I better go get some so I have them for our cruise in 26 days! Thanks for the info!

  6. Not sure I am a coffee snob but I know a good cup of coffee when I have one, and I have never had one on Carnival. I have had room service, MDR and lido and Can’t remember any being good. In fact when anyone asks about carnival we Tell them we love the ships, the family suites and the value but can’t stand the coffee. We take Starbucks Via packs when we cruise I use half a pack for a regular mug that is available from room service or the lido. I have never bought the premium coffee because it’s never been convienant. We are staying in a family harbor suite in 27 days so I’m happy to hear they have another coffee option in the lounge. Hope that helps

  7. Our favorite ships are the Dream and the Breeze! A lot has changed in the past few years but that’s just par for the course.

In my opinion as a busy mom If I don’t have to cook or clean up the dishes it’s a fine dining experience. I would of never noticed tablecloths missing or the crumb scraper no longer being used without reading about it here.

We are booked in a family harbor suite in a couple weeks on the Vista and I have heard nothing but rave reviews on this new concept! My kids are not toddlers anymore but I still think it’s awesome they can run across the hall and get a quick snack instead of going all the way to the lido deck. Also some of the Family harbor suites have a second half bath with a bathtub ❤️ Which is perfect for little ones to bathe. Water slides, kids camp, tons of food options and the itineraries keep us going back to Carnival. We also like the southern Caribbean the best but we usually pick a ship then an itenerary unless we want a specific port. Have fun planning it can get overwhelming with so many options and a large family!

PS we enjoyed the Cat and the Hat breakfast with our boys ages 15.14and 10 at the time, the food is fun and different and the characters did a good job interacting. There is a nominal charge for this maybe $15 a person??

  8. When my boys were that age they pretty much stayed with us or were in camp carnival, they were allowed to go to the sports deck when we were out by the pool but they weren’t ever allowed to roam the ship.

Our rules are always pretty simple

Behave like you do at school, no running on the ship, no shouting in the halls and use yes ma’am and no sir to every adult.

The only rule that is different on the ship is never go into anyone’s cabin ever ever ever.

I’m sure your son will love his cruise and the Breeze is one of our favorite ships!

  9. THX for the responses. I guess I should also mention that we will have 3 kids with us- a 10 month old (will be in a stroller), a 7 & 8 yr old. Is it still walkable with kids?

We were there in February and it was hot walking to the forts, we had a party of 8 with 4 kids and they were a little cranky by the time we arrived, actually we all were. We even stopped for them to play in a fountain and got drinks. We enjoyed walking back to the port through town, so maybe take a cab or try the trolleys for the ride there and then walk back through town and explore the shops etc. If my memory serves me correctly the sidewalks weren't in great condition so walking with a stroller up hill will be an added challenge. We went to two forts, it was fantastic but when we go back in the fall we will not be walking.

  10. We have 5 in our family and we have done in an Ocean view room for 5 on the dream and leave Saturday with the same cabin on the Breeze. My boys are 14,13 and 9. I wasn't comfortable with the boys in a separate room and figured they would end up in my room and my husband would end up with a room to himself LOL. We priced two interiors, a balcony and an adjacent interior (there wasn't any available for us) and two balconies and it just didn't seem worth it for us. We didn't have any problems with the 5 of us in a room. We leave Saturday on the Breeze and I'm hoping we haven't out grown the 5 person cabin. As far as the location we didn't mind it all.

  11. My boys used the swim suits with the built in floatations devices, they would wear swim trunks under it so they could talk them off when not in use. The ones we had were from Costco not sure of the brand. Try a sporting goods store or Amazon you may have to get expedited shipping.

  12. What a fun day!!! We are doing the same itinerary in October and I am still in the process of planning our days in port. I had not heard of the resort you went to. It looks like a lot of fun we have 3 boys 12,11 and 7 looks like plenty to do for them too. Why do you think was the place so empty? We are the only ship in port the day we are in Cozumel I wonder if we would luck out like that.

Thanks for taking the time to do this review, and good luck with school.

  13. Thank you for all your insight, we are sailing in October same itinerary and ship so all your comments are so helpful!! I think I could duplicate all your excursions, I just need to check ages and height requirements since our little people will be cruising with us. We will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary on the ship and I hope that Bon Jovi performs for us too :D:D:D
