Do you notice many Scandinavian people on these cruises or is it mostly travelers from further away?

Not sure if there were many, but an elderly Swedish couple sat by us in the main dinning room.

So there were at least 2 :D

I had to do a double-take to see that these weren't the same as mine. I guess we share the same eye for framing shots :).

 

I don't own any photo rights to the landmarks or that boat so feel free to distribute your own photos as you wish :D

I was on the very same cruise and it's nice to see other opinions!!

We are on her this coming Saturday, so will update if I remember when on board, we have the internet package, so hopefully it will be surficant to update:o other than that, you will have to wait for my review once home :cool:

Never seem to get a good deal via RCCL website, so always book via TA and rely on them to get me from the UK, but I always book my flight from here to the UK with good old Aurigny :-)

We didn't even use the balcony when we had it, other than to show some friends who had an inside cabin what it was like. We stood outside long enough to take a picture; wind blowing our hair in our faces and freezing from the wind. We hated it, I don't see the appeal and am unlikely to ever book one again. I guess if you want to bring something special for it, I would suggest a coat, and a hair tie.

OMG!!!

Only have done 3 cruises and had a balcony on all of them, can't see the day when I wouldn't have one, even if it was freezing cold, raining and blowing a hurricane.

Each to their own I suppose

As pitiful as those numbers are, the WiFi is still usable depending on what you are doing. I was on Empress this week, had numbers even worse than that but was able to remote into work and get stuff done. True, if you are getting VOOM to stream your daily dose of Youtube or FB videos it might not go well, but for many things, it's acceptable. - live blogs obviously work fine as evidenced by this thread.

Thanks for that, don't do FB or others, just wanted it to post the odd pic to daughter and family and check on some forums I subscribe to?

So maybe it might able to cope??

May have to rethink about Voom as pre paid already?

Will be following you all the way and I'm enjoying my trip already, we are on her next year so will be interested how she fairs with you, also how the Voom works as I've had conflicting reports how it performs?

Without the politics of what the locals think? I've sailed out of both and the sail away from Venice is stunning no matter where you are sailing to, so if what Bob is saying is correct? Go for Venice

We did chops twice and once at Giovanni's on the Vision in September and have booked the same on the Serenade, for me chops is probably the best steak I have had or even likely to have:D

Ask the TA for Royal's Guest Copy of your booking confirmation.

The guy I spoke to rang RCCI up and he then rang me back and confirmed that I had the package he also said that their invoices does not allow to confirm All Inclusive:eek:

Anyhow still wasn't happy with him or his attitude, so I rang RCCI myself and they have confirmed the All Inclusive and also it wont appear on the cruise planner.

Phew, still got 7 months to go, hope that's all the hassle over with:D

The 'free' deluxe drinks package does not show on the cruise planner and I have gotten email confirmation from RC saying that it won't show there...only on email invoice.

I booked a similar offer for next year and got an updated invoice emailed to me a few days after booking with the BOGOHO offer and the deluxe drinks package shown...I booked direct

Have you looked in your cruise planner and if so does it show there?

Nothing like that on ours, its just says Board Basis: FB

Just been on to our TA and not very helpful at all, in fact quite rude:mad:

Thanks for that, we booked via TA and had an invoice off them and it doesn't show, but its shows the $100 on board credit that is with the package
