  1. This link is a great help. The question always seems to come up about whether the door to the balcony is locked at sea, as somewhere on the Princess site it says no access to balcony while at sea, but this is not actually the case. You have access at any time, They do say they require you to close your window curtains at night, si that the light does not interfere with bridge operations

    Enjoy!

Still no email. Calling did not help. I'm done. Very disappointed in Princess. Maybe cutting off my nose to spite my face but I'm about to book a cruise I have been looking at on another line.

Go to this link, and it will let you search for the discounted cruises.

I signed into my account at the Princess website, and was able to book a courtesy hold on a cruise(which I have since booked) even before finding the email that they sent. The email was in my "Promotions" folder in gmail; it might be somewhere else depending on your mail system. But again, I was able to book without using that email. I hope you can also.

Current nurse here. Was verified on 10/21 and still waiting on the Email. Hoping it comes through soon. Starting to feel like this was just a marketing ploy and I will have to sit on the phone for hours if I want to actually get a cruise. Still a few days left in the "week after" November 1st, so hoping Princess does right by folks.

  5. If you were verified you may already be able to apply the discount, even without an email.

Does anyone know how Princess will deal with requiring COVID vaccination on cruises sailing from Fort Lauderdale this fall, when Florida has made it illegal to demand vaccination  or discriminate against anyone who is not vaccinated.  We are booked for Nov. but I do not intend to cruise on any ship that is not fully vaccinated. Looking perhaps at switching to cruises departing from the west coast.  Does this look like the only option?

I'm on the 11/20/21 sailing out of FLL The following is an excerpt form the "Notifications" section for my cruise(as of today 7/3/21) ; I didn't include all the requirements for proof of vaccination. Vaccination has to be completed at least 14 days prior to departure.

    COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT

Guests of all ages on this voyage are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof at the terminal prior to boarding the cruise. ... If you are unable to produce the described proof of vaccination, you will be denied boarding without refund.

    Hope this helps

Just read that there is limited balcony access while ship is at sea.  We are sailing the inside passage to Alaska.  Would it really be that windy up there?  I still don't know what to do.

Not true. This is a common misconception. They do not lock the balcony, I had access to the balcony at any time. They do request that you close the blinds at night so as not to interfere with navigation.

    Hope this helps.

  8. L108 is terrible. I had L107 on the Royal (after having M107 the year before), It's so bad, I have L107 again  coming up on a back to back on the Sky in November..

Seriously, it's a great cabin. The winds probably won't be a big factor as you're idling along the Alaskan bays. I don't use any of the Club Class dining, etc. For me it's location, location, location, not to mention the huge balcony.

    Good luck!

I just watched a video of M108.  That is a huge balcony.  Did you have issues with furniture blowing away when at sea?

Sailed on the Regal out of New York City 10/31/19 in L105. Woke up to a loud crash when the round table blew over during a storm about 2:30AM. I later heard that a lounger( aluminum/plasic I believe, not one of the nice wooden ones with the cushions) blew overboard from L107 or M107. If the furniture is tucked up under the sloped railing, it should be fine, even in a wind.

    Kindly tell me

    1. How are the obstructed view balconies right in front (facing forward) on the higher decks?

    2. How many days prior to sailing is the final payment date?

    3. What are the chances of a last minute price drop on Regal Princess after this final payment date?

Especially for Cruises later this year.

This is L101 on the sister ship Royal Princess.

did she use the sanitizer again after getting off the escalator ? I know the Princess / Port Everglades "requires" you to have a free hand to use the escalator railings, or you must use the elevators ... and it was enforced ...

No. I don't recall seeing a lot of hand sanitizer stations near the escalators or elevators, but I had my own, so I really wasn't looking very hard for them.

Exactly.  Totally pointless.  Possibly even counter productive.  It just makes people feel like they are doing something.  The fact is no one really knows exactly how the virus is transmitted.  If we did, cruise lines could easily implement policies to prevent infection.  It’s in the cold virus family and is just everywhere at this point.

Cruise lines have policies to prevent norovirus as well, and yet they have outbreaks.

One  problem is that people often don't follow the guidelines, or believe that they don't apply to them. No single drop of water believes that it's responsible for the flood. I traveled in the past month, including airports. What I saw as far as travellers following protective measures was appalling. Most people that I saw were ignorant of basic hygiene measures. One woman was wearing her mask like a bauble on her wrist. She used hand sanitizer, and then promptly put her hand on the escalator railing. Maybe 10% of the people I saw were properly wearing a mask. This is why we can't have nice things. As a health care professional who has cared for COVID-19 patients first-hand, I see this getting much worse before getting better, and we have mostly ourselves to blame for it.
